李小龍、成龍、洪金寶，一個個聞名華人社區以至全球的名字，都是從香港開始，他們帶起了香港電影的輝旺，將華語電影帶到全球，1980年代是香港電影最輝旺的年代，那個時候香港一共有一百多間電影院，幾乎是每一個小區都有一間電影院，到現在，香港只剩下不到60間戲院，其中，寶石戲院是難得仍然生存的戲院，也是香港唯一一間保留傳統運作，「人手劃位」的戲院。
Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, All these world famous names came from Hong Kong. They built up the kingdom of HK films and brought HK films to the world. 1980s is the golden age of HK films. At that time, there were over 100 cinemas in HK, covering all districts in HK. Now, there are only less than 60. Lux Theatre is one of the cinemas still existing since the 1970s. It is also the only cinema in HK still using the handwriting tickets.
寶石戲院1970年開幕，位於香港紅磡區，香港的一個老區，定位是街坊戲院，讓附近一帶的居民不用去太遠也能看電影。但不要少看這街坊戲院，它提供了1445個座位。及後，香港電影業衰退，戲院一間接一間倒閉，寶石戲院幸免於難，在一段艱難日子後浴火重生，在2012年被韓國財團收購翻新，保留了傳統的格局，保留「人手劃位」特色，倒成為充滿懷舊的存在。
Lux Theatre was opened in 1970 located at Hung Hom, an old district of HK. Its main target was the residents of the district but still providing 1445 seats. After the decline of HK film industry, cinemas in HK kept shutting down and luckily, Lux Theatre still survived. In 2012, a Korean Enterprise took over it and renovated. The 70s style and “handwriting tickets” are kept.
踏入電影院的入口，就看到兩個很懷舊的裝置，橙色的那個是體重計，還記得小時候我每次去看電影都一定要量量體重，現在，可能就只有寶石戲還有這體重計。
Entering the Theatre, we can see two nostalgic equipments. The orange one is a weight meter. There were this kind of meters in all cinemas but now, I believe it can only be found in Lux Theatre.
另一邊的是一個電影放映機，在菲林年代，電影院就是用這放映機將菲林一格一格的放出來，直到數碼年代，這種放映機就被淘汱了，至於詳細的介紹，我就直接拍下來給大家看。
The other one is the film projector. In the old time when film was still used, it was played by this machine until the common use of digital filming. Here is a description:

大堂保留了70年代的香港戲院設計，也勾起了我小時候的記憶，當然70年代我還沒有出生，我的小時候是90年代。大堂一邊是復聯4的佈景板，倒顯得有點格格不入。
The lobby is in 70s style. I saw some when I was very small. And the backdrop of Avenger Endgame.

在今天數碼化的年代，寶石戲院竟保留了人手劃位的傳統，可能年青一代都不知人手劃位是怎樣的了，以前沒有網上購票，要看電影就只能親自到戲院購票，即場選位劃位的。當然，我開始有能力自己買票時，已經是電腦劃位了。
In the digital world, handwriting tickets are still used in Lux Theatre. I believe some of the Youngsters have no concept about handwriting tickets. When there is no internet, we had to go to the counters of cinemas to buy tickets. The seats are ticked by hand.
寶石戲院最大的賣點，是所有的2D票都只售$50, 3D票只售$60，當其他戲院的2D版復聯4是一兩百起跳時，寶石戲院仍只售$65，但寶石戲院的設備不是古舊設備，而是全球最先進的放映系統，所以大家不要擔心，有空到香港時，試試在寶石戲院看電影吧！
