Valencia Vibes: Some Sunny Snaps!

Valencia Vibes: Some Sunny Snaps!

February 2022 · 2 min read · Valencia

Following on from yesterday’s post charting some of my Spanish travels the past couple of years, here's a bit of an extension on my time in Valencia.

As mentioned, I spent a little time here in 2020/21 (as well as Alicante and Tenerife) and I plan to base myself in Valencia longer-term. It has also been a bit sporadic for obvious pandemic reasons and all the fun and games that brings.

I discovered a few photos when adding a couple to my previous article so this post will be mainly some of those.

First up a coffee to get us going. These bastards do a tasty cup ;)

The north station, an iconic landmark and transport link. And just happened to capture one of the ubiquitous scooters that get about the place

The even more iconic landmark of the city of arts and sciences. Well, a part of it anyway. Sat towards the bottom of Turia park.

A cheeky beer and telling the tale at a meetup in Turia

Some architecture from a hostel I stayed at in Russafa

Medieval market food festival

Centre from another angle and town hall

The famous Torres de Serranos

Outside St Patrick’s Irish bar

Another nomad meetup in the Turia as night falls

Concert in the main plaza

Day of Valencia celebrations

After the marathon, a well earned rest (them not me ;))

Just a few little snippets of my last couple of visits to this fine city. Some sport, festivals, meetups and various celebrations.

And we haven’t even started on Las Fallas! I’ve got a few shots of last year’s mascletas etc but will save that for another article. The 2021 event was in September but we’re back with the usual March extravaganza this year.
