Hello guys!

This is my first post on this blog! I hope that you can enjoy it! My name is Tommy and I am from Italy. I love travelling and sharing my travels with as many people as possible.

In March 2018, I and my friend Elena went to visit Iceland. It was my first time in the land of Ice and Snow and it was an amazing experience! Because of the snow, we could only explore the Golden Ring but we were more than happy about that.

We started enjoying the Blu Lagoon, then we went towards West stopping at some waterfalls, rich of water because of the melting snow, some special beaches with hexagonal rocks, at the famous place for seeing the two faults: the American one and the Euroasian one and at some beautiful spot where was possible to admire the landscape.

We did an excursion on the glacier visiting some ice caves (4 hours hiking under the rain) then we explored the Gulfoss Waterfall: a mix between water and snow with a gorgeous rainbow. That night, we went "hunting" some northern lights and we were so lucky to spot them!

Thingvellir was the second-last stop: a place rich in archaeological sites and culture. Here, the first parliament of the history was made by the Vikings who escaped from Norway and its greedy King Harald Fairhair. A place that is also famous for the big fault which is increasing day by day.

Our last stop was Reykjavik, the capital, that is a bit underwhelming comparing it with all the rest of the country. The museum is the most interesting thing in the city.
