Dieses Denkmal findet man direkt in Paris (7. Arrondissement) vor dem Hotel du Ministre des Affaires étrangères, was schlichtweg der Sitz des Ministeriums für auswärtige Angelegenheiten und internationale Entwicklung (MAEDI) ist, einfach mal einen Spaziergang am Quai d'Orsay 37entlang, fast direkt am Ufer der bekannten Seine.

Aristide Briand wurde am 28. März 1862 in Nantes geboren und starb am 7. März 1932 in Paris.

Dieses "Denkmal der Erinnerung an Aristide Briand" ist das einzige, welches das Tor des „Palais des Affaires étrangères“ überhaupt schmückt.
Es ist zur Seine ausgerichtet. Dieses Werk schuf einst Paul Bigot, der Architekt, Paul Landowski, der Bildhauer und Louis Henri Bouchard, ebenfalls einer der Bildhauer.

Aristide Briand war ein französischer Politiker und dazu noch Diplomat. Er war exakt 11 Mal Präsident des Rates und 23 Mal Minister. Nachdem der 1. Weltkrieg vorbei war, spielte Aristide Briand eine wichtige Rolle in Bezug auf die internationalen Beziehungen.

Im Jahre 1926 erhielt Aristide Briand zusammen mit Gustav Stresemann den Friedensnobelpreis für seine Aktion zugunsten der Versöhnung zwischen Frankreich und Deutschland.

Im Jahre 1928, als Aristide Briand seinen Traum vom Frieden durch eine Art kollektive Sicherheit, dessen Schwerpunkt der Völkerbund sein sollte, weiter nachkam, unterschrieb er, zusammen mit dem Amerikaner Frank Billings Kellogg, den Briand-Kellogg-Pakt, um damit ein Kriegsverbot zu bewirken.

Doch der diplomatische Aufbau brach Anfang der 1930er Jahre gleich wieder ein, es war die Zeit der Wirtschaftskrise von 1929 und den Aufstieg des Nationalsozialismus.

Dieses entwürdigende Denkmal soll an diese Zeit und Aristide Briand als Person stets erinnern.

This monument can be found directly in Paris (7th arrondissement) in front of the Hotel du Ministre des Affaires étrangères, which is simply the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI), just a stroll along the Quai d'Orsay, almost right on the banks of the famous Seine.

Aristide Briand was born on 28 March 1862 in Nantes and died on 7 March 1932 in Paris.

This "Monument to the Memory of Aristide Briand" is the only one that adorns the gate of the "Palais des Affaires étrangères".
It is aligned to the Seine. This work was once created by Paul Bigot, the architect, Paul Landowski, the sculptor and Louis Henri Bouchard, also a sculptor.

Aristide Briand was a French politician and diplomat. He was exactly 11 times President of the Council and 23 times Minister. After World War I was over, Aristide Briand played an important role in international relations.

In 1926, Aristide Briand and Gustav Stresemann received the Nobel Peace Prize for his action in favor of the reconciliation between France and Germany.

In 1928, when Aristide Briand continued to fulfill his dream of peace through a kind of collective security that focused on the League of Nations, he and the American Frank Billings Kellogg signed the Briand Kellogg Pact to ban the war effect.

But the diplomatic structure broke right back in the early 1930s, it was the time of the economic crisis of 1929 and the rise of National Socialism.

This degrading monument is meant to remind of this time and Aristide Briand as a person.

Este "Monumento a la memoria de Aristide Briand" es el único que adorna la puerta del "Palais des Affaires étrangères".
Está alineado con el Sena. Esta obra fue creada por Paul Bigot, el arquitecto, Paul Landowski, el escultor, y Louis Henri Bouchard, también escultor.
