Hi everyone and welcome to this special post!
Special because today I will show and tell you about the most exciting experience I had in 2019.

ITA

There were only a few days left until the end of the year and I decided to end in style by signing up for a snowshoe hike at sunset on Monte Grappa!

ITA

The group's meeting point was the top of the mountain, 1775 meters above sea level.

We were about 50 people and luckily I was not the only one to use snowshoes for the first time!

ITA

The feeling that I felt being surrounded by that snowy landscape was unique. I would have photographed anything without thinking, but I had to take a deep breath and select the shots well to ensure a story that lives up to the experience.

ITA

I made my first steps with snowshoes very awkward, but already after a few meters I understood the technique.
The important thing is not to walk backwards because the snowshoe would get stuck on the snow causing you to lose your balance.

ITA

Once we reached the top of the war memorial, the sunset light began to color everything in warm tones.

ITA

I admit that walking with snowshoes on the snow and taking photos is not easy, but with a little attention I managed to make some interesting shots.

ITA

One of the most beautiful things about that landscape was walking above cloud level.

ITA

A section of the path continued inside the trenches of the First World War. The trenches were a bit narrow to walk easily with snowshoes, but everything went well.

ITA

The sun was setting and the landscape was beginning to be colored with shades that seemed to come out of a fantasy book.

ITA

In the background, a mattress of clouds made everything light...suspended.

ITA

Every second that passed the sky became more and more orange.

ITA

The temperature was rapidly falling and the clouds began to drop in altitude sliding down the slopes of the mountains.

ITA

Impossible not to stop to photograph such a panorama!

ITA

Impossibile non fermarsi a fotografare uno panorama simile!

It was almost time for the blue hour.

ITA

Era quasi il momento dell'ora blu.

The group continued in single file while I tried to catch the best possible photos.

ITA

The sense of satisfaction in seeing these panoramas is incredible. Everyone should have such an experience in life.

ITA

Next year I will definitely repeat the experience of snowshoeing at sunset.

ITA

It was dark and one at a time we lit the torches to illuminate the path.ITA

The sky was full of stars, beautiful to observe them with the naked eye far from the city lights.
