It is summer in the Russian middle zone

When the weather is warm outside there is no strength to sit in a stuffy city. I want to go somewhere on nature. There are many places around Kostroma where you can go. Gradually, we are expanding our geography of travel. And now in the city of Yaroslavl, which is located 60 kilometers from Kostroma, it seems to be very close. We are increasingly considering places to visit near this city.

In such a warm summer weather, we decided to go to the village of Vyatskoye. This is not the first visit to this place. We used to be in the village of Vyatka, but it was in winter.

That time there was a lot of snow, frost, a beautiful sunset. This time we wanted to see how the village looks like in a summer outfit.

In general, it is known that a magazine assigned the village of Vyatskoye the title of the most beautiful village in Russia. I do not know whether it is possible to say that this is the most beautiful village, but the fact that it is beautiful is for sure.

In my photos in the post there are no special beauties of the village architecture. This does not mean that these photos do not exist. It just seemed to me that the sun, the greenery, the water - everything natural is somehow more suitable for the first summer day.

And if we talk about the village of Vyatka, then I was most surprised by the photos of this place that I saw in the museum. These were photos of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It depicted the main street of the village. On the cobblestone pavement went the ladies in dresses, all elegant. On the sides of the road were visible trade shops. If I did not know that these are photographs from the village of Vyatskoye, then I would have decided that these are photographs from some big city.

It was a big village, which stood on the trade route. The village was actively built and there were three brick factories in it. Trade flourished. In the 20th century, the village fell into decay due to changes in the country.

Now a tourist center is being raised here, the village is being turned into a museum. It's great.

For example, the first photo shows a black bath on the river bank. This is a real black sauna - a museum piece.

But real life comes in the village. For example, a real well, from where people carry water to their homes.
