This post is more about photos than history
The end of winter in Kostroma. This year the winter was very warm. There were no real severe frosts, there was not a lot of snow. But for the national economy this is for the better. Less work for janitors and utilities in general.
But still there were good days, and I do not exclude what else will be. It may well be that winter will last in March. Today, for example, in the morning it is clear and frosty.
So last night I decided to go outside with a camera and walk around my hometown along the Volga River and the Kostroma River.
First of all, I went to the arrow of these rivers under the walls of the Ipatiev Monastery. This monastery is one of the main centers of attraction of the tourist flow to Kostroma. This is explained not only by the antiquity of the structure but also by the rich history of the monastery.
It is known that the dynasty of Russian Tsars of the Romanovs began in this place. But today I’m not very interested in the monastery. My attention is focused on the river itself.
Despite the fact that the ice on the river is not very strong, because just recently there was a significant thaw, I went on the ice.
Standing almost in the middle of the Kostroma River, I found beautiful banks where evening lights had already been lit. This pleasant feeling is the evening after a hard day.
Night is fast approaching and colors the sky in dark blue. This is an amazing sight and I decided to go where there are more bright lights. We have such a place - this is a bridge across the Volga.
Then I had to get a tripod out of the car, as the shutter speeds became very long.
A very short walk through the evening Kostroma gave me a sense of the beauty of my hometown.
