Wandering Ho Chi Minh City, night in Saigon

February 2023 · 3 min read · Ho Chi Minh City

The evening was filled with festivities. There were more people that I had met along the way all here in Saigon now. It was time to go out and see the town at night.

I call a motor scooter taxi company and they drive me, ride me, to the place where I will meet yup with a few people.

I have rarely been on the back of another bike. But tonight I have to trust that they will get me where I need to go.

Here we goo fast along the street.

Not fast enough as we are at the light again. No going through on the side, we must wait.

The city lights at night light up the bits of the skies that stretch out from the ground.

Far away and yet the light bring this place into view

We head towards the bright lights in the distance to see what it is.

A look the other way...

The party in the street. The festivities ring on around town.

It is Uncle Ho Chi Minh. Waving to all the people and showing what victory looks like.

Here is another mage of him. One can admire the efforts of the people of Vietnam to combat what they did. To now see the trail completed I wonder of the days when it was bit connected throughout the country.

I sit can catch up with friends in the restaurants and places we walked talked and wandered. I got to hear about place I was not able to explore and see. I tell about stores that I got to go and experience. It is nice to have some friends and comradery in a country so far away and people who were met so far and long away ago. To have conversations and some time together is a nice treat.

Here is a balloon/ Can you tell what is happening?

Here are some more photos of the random night.

It is time to wander along away from he balloon spot and find a away home.

The evening was another adventure to get home in the dark late at night and not sure what time or place I am in. I make it back and the next day is an earl rise t get the work done.

Thanks for having a look over my shoulder as I watched over someone else's shoulder to drive me. I was able to get some goo pictures this way and I hope you liked seeing Saigon at night.
