Today is a day to get the lay of the lands on the island that will be home for a few weeks. The time here already has been a delight. From the busy day of taking boats and charters to finding a long boat to bring us to the island where the sunset falls from the sky.
This little dog seems to like hanging around our table. Don't worry we are not messy eater little doggy.
The pooch runs to the beach ahead of us. Taking in the sights and sounds we hang around for a bit on the beach.
The jetty that is no longer able to hold to the land. This was destroyed in a storm.
We wander the beach and decide to head inland and across the island to see what else there is to explore.
We come across another rickety bridge that is no trouble to cross. I wonder if the same storm destroyed this bridge as well as the jetty on on the ocean?
As we walk we catch up with the couple that hired the boat with us coming across. They are staying at the more populated area of the island. I am glad we are on the quiet side of the beach.
He takes us to have a look at the place they are staying.
As we stood by the door talking we all got distracted and moved on to some lunch stop restaurant that was close enough to get to. I did not even see inside the hut. Nor did I take any pictures of the hut as the distracting conversations were just what I needed today.
After long conversation and some food, we part ways from the new friends and head down the beach for another walk. I take pictures as we go.
Tranquility is broken by the motorbike coming across the beach....vroom.
We wander and walk and make our way back to the other side as the sun moves over to the sunset side. We spend the rest of the day hanging and reading swimming and relaxing till the late night evening.
That is al for the day, more to come tomorrow. Thanks for having a look at the island and the walkabout.
