There is in Moscow Bolotnaya square. Very interesting place, not quite and similar to the area, but most likely on the square, park.
In XI century on this place there was a bog on which Western edge the Volotsky road passed. Over time, the area was drained and built up, but the buildings were destroyed by constant fires. In 1495, after another fire on the orders of Ivan III, a large fruit garden was laid out in the area, next to which the Palace gardeners settled to take care of it. The Western boundary of the garden was opposite the Kremlin water Tower, and in the East the garden reached the Moskvoretsky bridge. Later, adjacent to the garden area began to build up shopping malls. Muscovites began to call this place "Swamp", and the name first appeared in written documents in 1514
In 1611, one of the first clashes with the invaders took place in the Swamp. There is evidence that in the XVII century, the archers used the undeveloped part of the territory as a landfill. In addition, the Swamp was a popular place for entertainment and fisticuffs, as well as for the execution of rebels.
Under the rule of Peter I, the Swamp was the execution of Streltsy, who were involved in the Streltsy riots.
This picture, which I examined in the Tretyakov gallery describes the events of that time in this Swamp

In 1701, the previously broken garden burned down in another fire. Peter I decided not to build it, and the area remained empty, so it began to be used for fireworks and celebrations in honor of the coronation of monarchs-hence the name Tsaritsyn meadow, it was dug with drainage ditches. Under Peter on the edges of the Swamp built vsekhsvyatsky bridge, Cloth and Wine yards. The last to be executed in the square was Emelyan Pugachev. The execution took place in January 1775.

I was in this square 2 years ago at the end of October. It was damp, nasty, and on the square were some repairs. This time it was a Sunny day, and I had free time to take a little walk around these places.
First I decided to stand on the bridge of lovers. Here the newlyweds hang locks on peculiar trees as a sign of their strong love and long life together.

I had about 1 hour of free time and decided to head to the right side along the paths of the Park. Here I found some kind of podium with sculptures and went to them to look closer.

After viewing the composition, I went to the river embankment and took a couple of photos with views of the Kremlin.
