Yli-Kaitalan Lomamökit. Iitti. Finland

In early July 2017, I went with my daughter to see Finland. This journey began in early February, or more precisely, in December 2016. That's when my daughter said to me, "Dad, let's go fishing in Finland," and I just said, " Yes. Yes, let's go.".

So she tells me later-promised, let's go. And I started working on this issue via the Internet: where to go, how to go, what documents are needed. It was immediately clear that we would go by car. It turned out about 2 thousand kilometers in one direction.

I chose a couple of places for our vacation, wrote letters to them, received a response, and chose Yli-Kaitalan Lomamökit. This place is located about 200 km from the Russian border. I will say. that the choice was based on the price of the rented house and the ease of communication with the host party. I don't speak any foreign languages, so I liked that the email was sent in Russian, and further communication took place via whatsapp.

Вот она мне потом и говорит - обещал, поехали. И начал я прорабатывать этот вопрос через Интернет: куда ехать, как ехать, какие документы нужны. Сразу было ясно, что поедем на автомобиле. Получалось около 2 тысяч километров в одну сторону.

Выбрал я пару мест для нашего отдыха, написал туда письма, получил ответ и выбрал Yli-Kaitalan Lomamökit. Это место находится примерно в 200 км от российско-финской границы. Скажу. что в основе выбора была цена арендуемого домика и простота общения с принимающей стороной. А раз я не знаю финский и английский языки, то понравилось, что письмо пришло на русском языке, а дальнейшее общение происходило посредством whatsapp.

I will not describe the road to the border in this article. We arrived at the border at 3 am, after filling up a full tank of fuel. We rested at the last roadside cafe, then drank a Cup of shoddy coffee and drove towards the unknown. I will also skip the customs procedure. I will say that it was a **Car checkpoint Brusnichnoye of the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region**. There was no queue, because it was early in the morning.

At approximately 6:30 am, we were already in Finland. at 7:00, we bought food from Lidl supermarket, which is located 7 km from the border and drove towards Lappeenranta, then to Kouvola. Before Kouvola, we left the road leading to Lahti and turned North. Why? I wanted to take more provincial roads. The roads are wonderful, it is easy to drive on them, without stress.

Примерно, в 6:30 утра мы уже были на территории Финляндии. в 7:00 закупились продуктами в супермаркете Lidl, который находится в 7 км от границы и поехали в сторону Lappeenranta, далее на Kouvola. Перед Kouvola мы ушли с трассы, ведущей на Lahti и повернули на север. Почему? Захотелось проехать более провинциальными дорогами. Дороги замечательные, едется по ним легко, без напряжения.

He led us to the right place. We arrived a little ahead of time, when it was possible to move into our house. The girl Olga, who spoke Russian, was still absent at this time. The owner of the farm offered us a little rest and a snack from the road. Of course, I had a little drink and realized that we were in the right place. We could start resting.

We inspected the Central pier, looked at the surrounding area, made out all the necessary papers for fishing, paid money and went to settle in the house, which will be ours for almost 8 days.

I chose a small, economical house. The two of us don't need much. A room and a bedroom, a bathroom, a sauna in the house and a sauna on the shore of the lake, a Boat with a motor, a supply of gasoline.

Домик я выбрал небольшой, эконом вариант. Нам двоим много не надо. Комната и спальня, ванная, сауна в доме и еще сауна на берегу. Лодка с мотором, запас бензина.

On the first day, we decided that we should rest in the evening and go fishing in the morning, first near the house.

I will say that the fishing was a success. The daughter caught the fish first. It was a good bream. We didn't take much fish. We need some fish to make Breakfast and lunch.

Скажу, что рыбалка удалась. Дочь поймала первой хорошего леща. Клевало очень хорошо. Но много рыбы мы не брали. Нам только немного, чтобы приготовить завтрак и обед.

There was an island opposite our house. We looked at the map that there is a road along the coast. The island is connected to the shore by a bridge. Of course, we decided to take a walk there. Especially since we were advised by the girl Olga from the reception

I will say that we were practically no longer on the Central farmstead of the farmer. Yes, we were warned in advance that we should not sail to other people's berths without need, do not fish closer than 40 meters from other houses, and, in General, it is desirable not to interfere with other people to enjoy their vacation.

Скажу, что мы практически больше не были на центральной усадьбе фермера. Да, нас заранее предупредили, что на лодках не подплывать к чужим причалам без надобности, не рыбачить ближе 40 метров от других домиков, и, вообще, желательно не мешать другим людям наслаждаться отдыхом.

And on the island we got into a fairy tale. We just didn't expect to see this.

I will also say that walking on other days to the other side of the farm, we met a trail with puzzles that had to be solved and reached the end point of the trail. The owners of this farm are just great!

Скажу еще, что гуляя в другие дни в другую сторону фермы мы встретили тропу с загадками, которые нужно было отгадать и дойти по конечной точки тропы. Хозяева этой фермы просто молодцы!

A week on the shore of this lake passed like a fairy tale.

We also went to the cities of Lahti, Kouvola, and visited the national nature Park, the name of which I always forget. We went there to interesting places. We were very lucky with the weather. There were a lot of people in this Park. You can see that people love this type of vacation.

Неделя на берегу этого озера пролетела как в сказке.

Мы еще съездили в города Lahti, Kouvola, посетили национальный природный парк, название которого я всегда забываю. Прошли там по интересным местам. С погодой нам очень повезло. В этом парке было очень много людей. Видно что люди любят такой вид отдыха.

Я думаю, что напишу еще одну часть про это путешествие.
