Po opuszczeniu Manali pojechaliśmy do Tirthan Valley, miejsca słynnego wśród miłośników górskich wędrówek. Pierwszy nocleg mieliśmy w dolinie; następnego dnia mieliśmy zostawić wszystkie rzeczy, zabrać ze sobą w plecaku jedynie to co potrzebne na jedną noc - i ruszyć w góry, do wioski, do której nie wiodą żadne drogi.

After leaving Manali we went to the Tirthan Valley, a famous place among lovers of mountain hiking. We had our first night in the valley; the next day we were to leave all our belongings, take only what we needed in our backpack for one night - and set off into the mountains, to a village that no roads lead to.

Dolina / The Valley

Spacer po dolinie był miłym relaksem po podróży, ale nie ukrywajmy - widzieliśmy już tyle w tych Himalajach, że niby nic tu takiego. Niby, bo wciąż przyroda i mała wioska może zachwycać.

A walk through the valley was a nice relaxing time after the trip, but let's admit it - we've seen so much in these Himalayas that there's nothing like that here. But still, this nature and a small village can delight.

Jeszcze tylko dodam, że w nocy w domku w tej dolinie było piekielnie zimno. Szczęśliwie mieliśmy farelkę. Była ona podłączona do prądu w tak kunsztowny sposób:

I just want to add that it was freezing cold in a cottage in this valley at night. Luckily we had a heater. It was connected to the electricity in such an elaborate way:

W drodze / On the way

Zapakowaliśmy nasze plecaki rano po śniadaniu i ruszyliśmy do góry. Szliśmy niespiesznie, nikt nas nie poganiał. Chcieliśmy się delektować wędrówką i podziwiać widoki, jednocześnie mając świadomość, że idziemy trasą, którą mieszkańcy wioski na górze muszą pokonywać ilekroć chcą skorzystać z jakichkolwiek zdobyczy cywilizacji.

We packed our backpacks in the morning just after breakfast and headed to the mountain. We walked slowly, no one was rushing us. We wanted to enjoy the hike and admire the views, at the same time being aware that we are following the route that the inhabitants of the village on the top must take whenever they want to take advantage of any achievements of civilization.

Oczywiście we wnoszeniu ciężkich przedmiotów na górę pomagają im osiołki, takie jak ten. Poczciwy chudzielec.

Of course, donkeys like this one help them carry heavy objects upstairs. Good skinny boy.

Po drodze zboczyliśmy trochę, bo nasz przewodnik chciał nam pokazać turkusową wodę. Faktycznie, była obłędna! Kiedy usłyszał od naszych przyjaciół, że lubimy morsować, zaoferował, że szybko skoczy na górę po ręczniki, możemy się wykąpać. W sumie to bym i skorzystała, gdyby nie było w nocy tak zimno. Bałam się, że na górze będzie jeszcze gorzej. A morsowanie jest super, o ile masz perspektywę dobrego wygrzania się potem.

On the way, we strayed a bit because our guide wanted to show us the turquoise water. In fact, it was amazing! When he heard from our friends that we like to ice swim, he offered to quickly jump upstairs for towels, we can take a bath. All in all, I would have done it if it hadn't been so cold at night. I was afraid it would be even worse up there. And ice swimming is great as long as you have the prospect of a good warming up afterwards.

Zamoczyliśmy więc tylko końce stóp i ruszyliśmy dalej. A nad nami znowu orły.

So we only wet the tips of our feet and moved on. And above us eagles again.

U góry / On the top

Na górze czekało na nas miłe jedzonko i cudne widoki. Wioska była raczej osadą, otoczoną polami i sadami, a w szerszej perspektywie - oczywiście otoczona pięknymi Himalajami.

Nice food and wonderful views awaited us at the top. The village was more of a settlement, surrounded by fields and orchards, and more broadly, of course, surrounded by the beautiful Himalayas.

Domki były śliczne, drewniane. I o dziwo, pomimo braku farelek, bardzo dobrze trzymały ciepło! Było dużo przyjemniej niż na dole.

The cabins were wooden and lovely. And, surprisingly, despite the lack of electric heater, they kept the heat very well! It was much nicer than downstairs.

Poszliśmy pozwiedzać osadę. Tu napotkaliśmy małe zgromadzenie.

We went to explore the settlement. Here we encountered a small gathering.
