Axeman's Travelfeed #011 - Street art colors of Tel-Aviv

October 2019 · 5 min read · Tel Aviv District

Today we are going a little back into the history, namely to February 2015 and out first ever trip together with @publicumaurora to Tel-Aviv, Israel. February is not really best season, but Wizzair flight prices are too much attractive not to try... And at this trip for the first time we have tried Air-Bnb and rented a small one room flat in the very center of old Tel-Aviv near famous market. So generally that was very convenient and we did not have to drive anywhere, just go out of the house and voila, you are in the middle of the city action...
The problem really was, we have managed to catch coldest week of February with even couple of days snowing in Jerusalem and some icy rain in Tel-Aviv. Well, in Lithuanian February is much more colder anyway, but those few rainy days quite spoiled some plans actually

So, old Tel-Aviv is very contrast. One street can combine some very old 2-3 stairs houses from one side and newly built Skyscrapers from another, sometimes looks just unbelievable and unexpected for Europeans. Mainly old city is still a combination of a narrow streets with colorful 1-2 stairs houses and there we will go right now to see some fine examples, just going around the old market.

Lets start from the obvious highlight and this cute bunny...

Moving towards the sea we are reaching another nice and colorful area - at the main beach of Tel-Aviv. A lot of colorful art on concrete walls all around. Really I would say some masterpieces

Generally speaking Tel-Aviv is a large city with rich, colorful multiculture. It can take weeks to explore all
