Many tourists come to Phuket for the wonderful beaches with their bi-turquoise waters. And that’s understandable. But Phuket also has plenty of other wonderful and vibrant places as the Old Town Nigth Market called "Lard Yai" where you will find vibrant street art that celebrates the culture and the diversity of Phuket and its food (Phuket became a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2015 due to its traditional culinary culture).

Located in the heart of Old Phuket in the street of old Sino-Portuguese houses every Sunday at the end of the day, the street is blocked to traffic and gives way to a huge lively night market that awakens your senses with a lot of of delicious street food. A must-see visit when staying in Phuket.

The best way to get there is to take a taxi or motorbike because there are very few parking spaces and it can take a long time. The market is divided into zones, such as souvenirs, activities, food and street art.

สวัสดีค่ะเพื่อนๆ ทุกคน จังหวัดภูเก็ตนอกจากจะมีชื่อเสียงในด้านความสวยงามของหาดทรายชายทะเลแล้ว ความโดดเด่นของสถาปัตยกรรมของเมืองเก่าที่เรียกว่า "ชิโนโปรตุกิส" แล้ว ล่าสุดได้รับการประกาศจาก "ยูเนสโก" ให้เป็นเมืองสร้างสรรค์ด้านวิทยาการอาหาร ในปี 2015 มาภูเก็ตแล้วต้องพลาดไม่ได้เลยกับ "หลาดใหญ่" ซึ่งมีแค่วันอาทิตย์วันเดียว มาวันอื่นไม่เจอตลาดนาจา ตึกรามบ้านช่องบริเวณนี้ก็จะเป็นสไตล์ชิโนโปรตุกีส ตลาดเปิดประมาณ 4 โมงเย็น ปิดประมาณ 3 ทุ่ม ถ้าจะมาเที่ยวหลาดใหญ่แนะนำว่าให้นั่งแท๊กซี่ หรือขี่มอร์ไซด์มาก็ได้ค่ะ เพราะว่าหาที่จอดรถยากม๊วกกกก.... ที่หลาดใหญ่ก็จะแบ่งเป็นโซนๆ ก็จะมีอาหาร ของฝาก กิจกรรมการแสดงต่างๆ และสตรีทอาร์ท ตลาดนี้ก็หาไม่อยากค่ะ อยู่ในเมืองภูเก็ต ถนนถลาง หรือที่เขาเรียกติดปากกันว่าภูเก็ตทาวน์

Food distribution Zone
It offers a selection of dishes including local cuisine of Phuket. There are plenty of sweet and savoury desserts, snacks and drinks.

Prepared on the spot the sweet smell of the different dishes will overwhelm your senses and your stomach will not resist long before you want to taste all this food.

Street art Zone
in 2016, Phuket in response to the Unesco award established the FAT (Food Art Town), 11 walls for 11 images for 11 lifestyles of the islanders of Phuket. For the short history, it was originally made 12 by 12 talented graffiti artists but one had to be removed at the request of the museum on which it was made.
