BEACH LIFE 11 pics
In winter, memories help us with the gray
Location: Ses Salines - Ibiza
Ses Salines is an important salt production area and nature reserve on the southern tip of Ibiza's municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia.
This salt area was built in 654 BC. Founded by the Phoenician Carthaginians. On 19 December 2001, Ses Salines was declared a nature reserve. Even today, salt is still being mined in the Ses Salines ... the salt is also being exported to Scandinavia, Denmark and for salt cod processing in the Faroe Islands.
The flora is influenced by the salinity... here native evergreens, spanish reeds, salt plants, sweet trees, pine forests, rosemary and rockrose bushes grow.
In the summer months you can even see flamingos here... but also Stilt, Redshank, Shoveler and Egret.
In Ses Salines are also the beaches of Las Salinas and Es Cavallet... they are beautiful beaches with turquoise blue sea.
But the sea is endangered by tourism, the shipping and especially by the big yacht... When the anchors are pulled out, large amounts of seaweed are torn out, damaging the ecosystem. It is sad that man always damages our planet.

What I do not understand ... why there are always people who leave your garbage and cigarette butts on the beach.
Ses Salines is home to diverse ecosystems composed of dune landscapes, beaches, wetlands, cliffs, rocky coastal areas, the old salt-producing basins and the largest contiguous area of seagrass beds (Neptungras) in the Mediterranean.
I want to show you as much as possible with my photos.
