Two days ago I told you about Echo Beach here on Bali. One of the famous surfposts where the waves can get quite challenging.
Well, Batu Bolong Beach where we´ve been yesterday is totally different.
Vor zwei Tagen habe ich euch vom Echo Beach hier auf Bali erzählt. Einer der berühmten Surfposts, wo die Wellen ziemlich anspruchsvoll werden können.
Nun, der Batu Bolong Beach, an dem wir gestern waren, ist völlig anders.
The sand here is dark but not as black as the sand at Echo Beach. This Beach is quite famous for it´s waves as well and very popular among Longboarders and beginners. Waves here can get quite big as well but they´re not as fast as on the Echo Beach and the way they break is totally different.
On a very good day there are hundreds of surfers in the water and it can get quite tricky to ride a wave without crashing into someone else.
Der Sand hier ist zwar auch dunkel aber lange nicht so schwarz wie am Echo Beach. Dieser Strand ist ebenso ziemlich berühmt für seine Wellen und sehr beliebt bei Longboardern und Anfängern. Die Wellen hier können auch ziemlich groß werden, aber sie sind nicht so schnell wie am Echo Beach und die Art, wie sie brechen, ist völlig anders.
An einem sehr guten Tag sind hunderte Surfer im Wasser und es kann ziemlich schwierig werden, eine Welle zu reiten, ohne mit jemandem zusammenzustoßen.
When I first came here about 5 years ago there was 1 or 2 stalls were you could rent a surfboard. Nowadays there are countless stalls with hundreds of boards to rent in every size. They usually charge you 50.000 Rupiah for 2 hours, which is around 3,15 Euro or 3,60 US Dollar what is really cheap.
Als ich vor etwa 5 Jahren zum ersten Mal hierher kam, gab es 1 oder 2 Stände an denen man ein Surfbrett leihen konnten. Heutzutage gibt es unzählige Stände mit Hunderten von Boards in allen größen. Sie berechnen normalerweise 50.000 Rupiah für 2 Stunden, was ungefähr 3,15 Euro oder 3,60 US-Dollar ist, was wirklich günstig ist.
The atmosphere here is really relaxed and it is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. There are plenty of small warungs and beach bars where you can sit back, relax and enjoy your beer or sunset cocktail.
Die Atmosphäre hier ist sehr entspannt und es ist der perfekte Ort um den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen. Es gibt viele kleine Warungs und Strandbars, wo man sich zurücklehnen, entspannen und sein Bier oder seinen Cocktail bei Sonnenuntergang genießen können.
Bali and especially beaches like Echo Beach and Batu Bolong are attracting more and more people from around the world.
