Since 2016 we´re spending a lot of our time on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. We think it is just the perfect spot for us and that´s why we keep coming back.
But as longer as we stay here the harder it gets to find any spots we haven´t seen yet. Yesterday on the way back home from a friend we noticed a brown sign on the street near Bli Bli. Brown signs usually mean a kind of tourist attraction.
We followed the sign and ended up at Dunethin Rock
Seit 2016 verbringen wir viel Zeit an der Sunshine Coast in Australien. Wir denken, es ist einfach der perfekte Ort für uns und deshalb kommen wir immer wieder.
Aber je länger wir hier bleiben, desto schwieriger wird es, Orte zu finden, die wir noch nicht gesehen haben. Auf der Rückfahrt von einem Freund bemerkten wir gestern ein braunes Schild auf der Straße in der Nähe von Bli Bli. Braune Schilder bedeuten normalerweise eine Art Touristenattraktion.
Wir folgten dem Schild und landeten am Dunethin Rock
We did not expect much,as otherwise we would have known this place already. But in fact it was quite nice. It ist just a rock in the middle of nowhere, but the view you get if you climb the rock is beautiful. Especially on a sunny day like yesterday.
At the foot of the rock you can see the Maroochy River as well as some beautiful farmhouses. There is also a scout campground which we could not see because it´s on the other side of the Rock. Must be beautiful to spend the summer on this campground near the river.
Wir haben nicht viel erwartet, sonst hätten wir diesen Ort schon gekannt. Aber eigentlich war es ganz nett. Es ist nur ein Felsen mitten im Nirgendwo. Aber die Aussicht die man bekommt, wenn man den Felsen erklimmt, ist wunderschön. Besonders an einem sonnigen Tag wie gestern.
Am Fuss des Felsens kann man den Maroochy River sowie einige schöne farmhäuser sehen. Es gibt auch einen Pfadfinder Campingplatz, den wir nicht sehen konnten, weil er auf der anderen Seite des Felsens liegt. Muss schön sein den Sommer auf diesem Campingplatz in der Nähe des Flusses zu verbringen.
On one side we could see Mount Coolum which I climbed several times already. On the other side there is Mount Ninderry which I´m going to climb in the next days. The view from up there must be even better than from here.
I will make sure to post about it. Hopefully the weather stays sunny like it is at the moment.

Auf der einen Seite konnten wir den Mount Coolum sehen, den ich bereits mehrmals bestiegen habe. Auf der anderen Seite gibt es den Mount Ninderry, den ich in den nächsten Tagen besteigen werde. Die Aussicht von dort oben muss noch besser sein als von hier.
Ich werde sicherlich darüber posten. Hoffentlich bleibt das Wetter so sonnig wie es gerade ist.
