On our weekend at the Lamington Nationalpark we did not only discover beautiful nature and breathtaking views. No, we also encountered some wildlife and saw some wildflowers and other tropical plants.
An unserem Wochenende im Lamington Nationalpark haben wir nicht nur wunderschöne Natur und atemberaubende Aussichten entdeckt. Nein, wir trafen auch auf wild lebende Tiere und sahen Wildblumen und andere tropische Pflanzen.
FAUNA
While most people try everything to avoid encounters with animals like snakes, big lizards and goannas or spiders, I love to see them and take photos of them. Unfortunately we haven´t seen a snake this time but some beautiful other animals.
Während die meisten Leute alles versuchen, um Begegnungen mit Tieren wie Schlangen, großen Eidechsen und Goannas oder Spinnen zu vermeiden, sehe ich sie gerne und mache Fotos von ihnen. Leider haben wir dieses Mal keine Schlange gesehen, dafür ein paar schöne andere Tiere.

After seeing some rather small ordinary animals on the first day I was hoping to see some bigger and more exotic animals on the second day.
And we were lucky and spotted a quite big Lace Monitor again. They are pretty common and we´ve seen them often but they still fascinate me.
We also came across another big lizard which I haven´t seen before.
Nachdem ich am ersten Tag eher ziemlich kleine gewöhnliche Tiere gesehen hatte, hoffte ich am zweiten Tag, größere und exotischere Tiere zu sehen.
Und wir hatten Glück und haben wieder einen ziemlich großen Lace Monitor entdeckt. Sie sind ziemlich häufig und wir haben sie oft gesehen, faszinieren mich aber trotzdem.
Wir haben auch eine andere große Eidechse entdeckt, die ich zuvor noch nicht gesehen habe.
This was all very exciting, but on the way back on the second day we had the luck to see a very rare animal.
The Lamington spiny crayfish.
It is found only in the cool waters and forests of the Gold Coast Hinterland, 1000 metres above sea level. You won't find this animal anywhere else in Australia
Dies war schon alles sehr aufregend, doch auf dem rückweg am zweiten tag hatten wir das glück ein sehr seltenes tier zu sehen.

Er befindet sich nur in den kühlen Gewässern und Wäldern des Hinterlandes der Gold Coast, 1000 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Man kann dieses Tier nirgendwo sonst in Australien finden
Last but not least we were greeted by this friendly but shy cow opposite of our little cabin.
Zu guter Letzt wurden wir von dieser freundlichen, aber schüchternen Kuh gegenüber unserer kleinen Hütte begrüßt.
FLORA
I do not have much knowledge about flowers and plants but on both walks we did you could find a big variety of different flowers, plants and fruits.
So I won´t tell you much about it but show you the photos.
Ich habe nicht viel Wissen über Blumen und Pflanzen, aber auf beiden Wanderungen konnten wir eine große Vielfalt an verschiedenen Blumen, Pflanzen und Früchten finden.
Also erzähle ich euch nicht viel darüber, sondern zeige euch die Fotos.
