Introducing myself to TravelFeed: Bikearoundtheworld

September 2019 · 2 min read

Around the world by bike. A lot of people have already done this. But still, it's an adventure and has been my dream for quite some time now. Actually, last year I almost started off - leaving behind my life as it had been till then: building a company, having a family, somehow doing things I like and being surrounded by people that love me... and actually nothing to complain about, really.

But there was this dream. So, it needed just a small crisis and I started planning. I actually checked out how to cross Damians' gap per bike, found out how to cross the Caspian Sea on a freight ship. I even bought some special stuff like a really big power bank and a special bio-degradeable shampoo. I even downloaded several Apps such as Warmshowers an Couchsurfing. And I started reading a lot of travel blogs, trying to figure out, how to make a living while travelling.

Later on, I realised the powerbank was too big, so it wasn't even allowed on planes....Crossing Damians' gap turned out to be quite a hazzle. The boat, I had chosen, sunk i a storm, two weeks after I had decided to onboard exactly this vessel. Pakistan and India started off - once more - to have some arguments and suddenly it seemed quite difficult to get to Thailand.

At the end, I did a U-turn in my mind and stayed in my life, feeling responsible for a lot of people... And still there is this dream. So, what now. Well VR is the future. So, I decided to do a virtual trip around the world, discovering things by reading, surfing and cycling - and maybe preparing a real trip in the far future.

Welcome to my blog. I hope, you'll enjoy it and tell me, where to pass by. and mybe this blog even encourages all those who never really start of to live their dreams at least in their fantasy. That's fun too.
