My travel 2018 #1: "A paradise found in Bauan Divers Sanctuary"

March 2018 Β· 4 min read Β· Batangas

Hello Steempeeps!

Have you started to plan your summer vacation? The heat is on, perfect timing for travel. Yahoooo! πŸ€—πŸ€—

Time flies too past and just notice I must be lucky to get a chance to travel each month, but the not yet created any blog about it haha! So, let me start with my January travel in Bauan Batangas as My travel 2018 #1.

It was first week of January with few days left from the holiday season, since Philippines has the longest celebration of Christmas Holiday in the world. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
My daughter and I with some other family friends bound West of Region IV-A, in Bauan Divers Sanctuary in Bauan, Batangas.

It was a 4 hour drive from Lucena City, the place where I live but took 5 hours due to misleading destination of my car navigator. Actually it wasn't the GPS' fault but the address which is not clearly specified in the map given to us, haha! The location says "Barangay San Pablo" but I am not informed that the said Barangay is utmost huge from the top of the mountain down to the little island.
Guess what? I reached the mountain top because it was the navigator's direction πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, which the right way is on the other side around going to the small island.

But with this view... worth being lost in the thrilling long drive.

And wait there is more, before we get there another exciting boat ride is needed.

This is the exclusive parking area for the tourists/divers bound for Bauan Divers Santuary, where you can leave your car for days. Worry no more coz' there are guards and caretaker to look out for your vehicle.

The boat ride will take 5-10mins, along with it is the chance to see the vast area of the sanctuary that feels like a hidden paradise (which is actually hidden and hard to find, hahaha!)

Bauan, here I come! πŸ€—πŸ€—

Bauan Divers Sanctuary Resort is a PADI Certified that caters diving courses and accommodation for all who loves scuba diving.

They have a very nice architectural design of the resort above the rocky mountain island. A modern style of building and facilities for diving.

The rooms are kindda basic in design but very spacious, we got the family suite with two king size bed.
We are only 3 in the room but 6 persons will definitely fit in. Of course it has own bathroom and walk in closet.

I know you are wondering about the price, they have different packages available which you can find in their website. But the open water course all-in package with accommodation and food, it will cost you for about 599 USD for 3 days & 2nigths per person.

But in my case since I did not avail the diving course (only my daughter) they just charge me half the price.
I have cough and colds and feeling not so well and its dangerous for a begginer to dive in that condition because I cannot equalize underwater.

So what I did was taking photos, isn't it obvious? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

There she is enjoying her 1st scuba diving lesson.

And here we are while chillin in the deck, that serves as the viewing spot and function area and bar.

These are the scenes around the diving sanctuary. There are plenty of water activities that you can make such as jetski adventure, boating and island hoping.

And of course the scuba diving!
Those boats are used for dropping the divers in the specified diving sites.

And if you're not up for diving or snorkeling thing, you can still enjoy the water fun with their swimming pool and also the place for the orientation before the actual diving.

The other thing that I admire about the place...

The majestic sunset between the horizon, I don't know what is so special with the sunset, haha! But I am always mesmerize by its beauty.

I hope the photos told how terrific the place is, 'cause I'm running out of words and my English vocabulary is very limited. πŸ˜₯πŸ˜“πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So, if you're up for this kind of adventure better to consider this place.
And by the way, language is not a barrier here especially English they are very good at it and all the staffs are polite and accommodating, as well as the diving instructors. And basically the guest in here are from different countries.
