Saint Martin's Island: Day 01.

July 2020 · 4 min read · Bangladesh

Hey guyz,

Um back people with another blogpost in HIVE.

This time I'm going to talk about my tour to Saint Martin's Island.
We stayed there for 3 days and this is going to be my story of the 1st day.

About The Tour
This was my first time visiting this place and I think this is the most beautiful place in our country.

We were six peoples heading to that island where two of them were my known and the other two were unknown, friends of a friend.
There were Udayan bro and Nepun with me.

Another man (a foreigner) joined our team from the boat and stayed with us through the whole tour as he was doing a solo tour.

1st day was about going to that island and exploring it a few.

We started our journey from Gabtoli, Bangladesh and we booked bus tickets before.
Our first destination was Teknaf and then we used a boat that we call troller to pass the sea as it was off-season and there were not ship at that moment.

You just saw some photos that I shoot on the way to Teknaf.
We started our journey at night from Gabtoli and it was early morning while we were about to reach Teknaf and that's how the sun was rising in front of us.

Fearsome, right?
Yes, we took this risk to visit that island.
There were many peoples on that boat and it was so hot at that time.
The sun was shining on us.

The sky looked so beautiful.

And beneath the sky, there were some hills and it was a scene worth seeing.
Those clouds were like playing.

After floating for a long time, the island got visible to our eyes.
It was a great feeling.

First of all we were so tired of the hot weather and second we were so excited to visit that island.

That's the island on the other side and we were almost there at this time.
I felt like jumping there.

IMG_20191012_124441.jpg

That's the one and only dock of that island.

I just showed a part of the island.
The whole island is there to explore now.

That's a nice tree with something furry all over the body.
It seemed the whole tree was covered bu fur or hair.
It looked nice.

So after walking for some time, we ate something and then we booked a guest house which was right beside the sea and beach.

After getting freshen up, we took rest.

I liked swinging on these nets.
After a long tiresome journey, getting rest was the one thing that we were cherished for.

And taking rest beside the sea was another thing.
Looking at the sea, the sun and laying at the same time felt very nice.

That's Udayan bro taking rest and texting her girlfriend maybe.

We slept a little while resting.

Then we went outside and walked around the island.
The island is kind of big so we had to walk for quite a long time to explore some part of the island.

Although it was almost evening as we passed quite some time in sleeping.

So the sun went down after a moment.
And we could see another part of the beauty of that island in nighttime.

These night scenes made us happier.
We waited for a long time there on the dock and we were getting fresh air from the sea.
The sound of the sea was so nice.
I wished we could sleep there that night.

After sitting there for a long time, we headed back.
Ate dinner.

And then explored markets of that place for some time.

There were different kinds of fried fish.
Hanging around many shops.

After walking a little, we headed to the guest house.
Everyone went inside and took rest but I laid on the net outside and was counting stars.
It was a great feeling.

Then I went inside and slept.
End of the day.

Peace.
