# When you live in a country without snow, and you love to ski, you have to travel. We love skiing so we travel to either Austria or Italy. Offcourse the possibility to go to Germany or France is there to, but we prefer Austria, for the great food and the nice people, ok and the apres ski. The food on the mountain in the ski area were we are going is priced really great. When you are deciding on a ski trip also really important. Skiing isn’t cheap so preparing is nesseccary. The food is very good, both in the village and on the mountain, we already experienced that last year.

# From Rotterdam to Tirol, Lermoos is about 950 km, so a 9 hour drive, we are taking the kids so we planned to stop every 3 hours and we succeeded in doing so. Its a pleasant drive and because it isn’t a holiday, the traffic was do-able aswell. In the Netherlands it will be a winter holiday in two weeks. In Germany we only had some traffic because we hit a traffic jam in the early Thursday morning because of the working hours but beside that no problems. Very nice because in the holiday season you could have up to 16 hours drives due to traffic, we also know about that.

WE RENTED ALL THE GEAR EXCEPT SHOES

# We arrived in the afternoon and we could go into the appartment at three o’clock, and we rented the skies and the kids gear immediately. We knew Lermoos from last year. It’s a great location in the Zugspitz Arena, in Tirol Austria. Accommodation is often within walking distance of the lifts, great with the kids and we have a ski bus aswell. We got a fre pas when we registered at the apart-hotel. By car or bus you are quickly in the areas of Ehrwald and Bichlbach too.

# Lermoos is a cozy and attractive village. You will find quite a few restaurants here and due to the differences in height in the village it is also somewhat playful. I love the little churches and although it may sound weird also the cemeteries attaches to them. The village has all kinds off places to stay, bed and breakfast places, only rooms with no extra service and cheap guesthouses, but also very luxurious hotels, with top restaurants. For every tourist there is a great find.

ITS A LOVELY VILLAGE
ITS A LOVELY VILLAGE

# Lermoos is an excellent destination for children. That a village is child friendly is very important for us. It has a beautiful children's area in the village to build snow man and even a gondola to the practice slopes. And important we don’t have to cross the Fern Pass, in the mountains. With snow that is always a thing. We have snow chains in the car but imagine putting them on in a snow storm, well no thank you if I have a choice. From Reutte it is only a short climb to Lermoos. And offcourse the roads are very nice prepped. And snow free.

THE SKI ARENA IS VERY NICE
THE SKI ARENA IS VERY NICE

# The ski regions Marienberg in Biberwier and Grubigstein in Lermoos are offering you 15 mountain cableways and lifts, 47 kilometers of slopes, snow-making machines and as said well priced ski passes. With 4 persons and 8 as a family all together this time, also to research before you leave. The hotel gave a discount on the ski gear and a tip for a family skiing pass.

REALLY VERY LITTLE PEOPLE
REALLY VERY LITTLE PEOPLE

# I must say this was day 2, day 1 was travelling so today with so much sun that promises us to be a great week, I will go and buy some sunscreen and the thermo clothes are certainly not nesseccary tomorrow. Thank god.. So we have full and sunny days ahead. The village is nice and we walked to go for coffee. Ad off our to take pictures to do some travelfeed and steemit blogs.
