After we sailed of in the evening last night from the port of Civitavecchia we sailed the whole night and passed through the Corsica Channel we sailed to the famous city of Cannes. The distance was 235 nautical miles.
The weather is not that great but that’s fine, we have a holiday and nothing can discourage us. Its 8.30 and we will be in this port untill 17.30h. The sun came up at 7.57 h and like every day untill now that’s so beautiful !!
Our holiday is coming along every well, we have already done so much, and saw so many beautiful places. The weather is very good and the dresses I brought are very easy to wear in this weather. After three great Italian days Italy love to go to France. We will be going to the port of Cannes. The distance from Civitavecchia to Cannes as Ismail before 235 nautical miles, about 14 hours sailing across the Mediterranean Sea. But sailing is great and we will be dining and sleeping anyway. The captain will take the north west route, passing through the Corsica channel. The channel between Corsica and the island of Capraia, to finally be in Cannes, France. I never been there so this is the perfect chance to see a new city.
Cannes is said to be glamorous, ( I am reading my itinerary in the suite on the balcony again ) with its immaculate seafront hotels and exclusive beach concessions, glamorous and expensive yachts and all the designer boutiques where I will be do my window shopping only. Cannes is in many ways the place to be on the French Riviera. A place where appearances count, but that’s when the film festival is here and not now anyways. ( I hope ) Despite the glamour image Cannes offers a variety of public Sandy beaches. So maybe we will be going to the beach.
Today we don’t walk off the boat but we disembark by tender. This is because the SEAVIEW is remaining at anchor so the tender service will bring us to shore. Is a complementary service but i am [retty anxious about it, so we are going to have a great day and please tell me about your day to. I Will blog later about the adventures in Cannes.
The Mediterranean is in my DNA, i am fine inland for a week, but then i years for the colours and smell of the French Rivièra
