Morning steemers,
Recently I took a vehicle ferry over to Stradbroke Island from Cleveland on the mainland of Brisbane. So I thought I'd share some pictures with you all....
Waiting to take off on the first ferry at 5:30am, well worth the early start!
Cleveland is roughly a 45min drive from Brisbane (northside) and once on the ferry it takes about an hour to reach Dunich. It's usually a smooth ride and you can buy booze, food and coffee on board.
Not far from Dunich, my first stop was Myora Springs. This a great spot to just sit silently and enjoy nature!
I had fairly recently purchased "Beena" from a local herb fair and spotted the Beehive road sign on my way to Amity Point to pick up some fresh seafood. I couldn't resist taking this shot
I had lunch at a local restaurant, which was overpriced and average but edible and waited for the sunset.
Sunset at Amity Point, a terrible photo that does it no justice but I'm hoping you can use your imagination a little.... Haha

Walking around the Amity Point area during the day it's easy to see this Island has an extremely rich Aboriginal history
This shot of Main Beach was taken from the start of the North Gorge walk at Point Lookout, seconds after I took this shot heaps of Dolphins and a few Wales swam passed the boardwalk. I have video footage of this but we all know how much of a pain in the arse steemit and videos are.....😂
The next day I attacked the hike to The Blue Lake and completed the Gorge walk getting to see heaps more wales and dolphins from the sure.
Stay tuned as I will put these into a post of their own.
Peaceful Travels steemers,
Sam.
