In my every trip, when I can, I always go to visit the main mosque in the city where I am.
I don't have a particular religious faith but I find mosques very fascinating and rich in mysticism, they give me a strong feeling of peace and tranquility and architecturally they meet my perspective vision.

The Moscow mosque is gigantic and I am not exaggerating, it is located in the northern part of the Russian capital, the construction work began in 2005 on the ashes of the old mosque, now ruined.
To make you understand how big it is I tell you that the structure has 3 floors of worship, contains a museum, a conference room and can hold more than 10,000 faithful.
The new Mosque occupies 19,000 square meters, from the outside you can immediately see its huge golden dome that soars majestically in the sky and its minarets.
It was built with white and green granite and Turkish marble.
At first glance it may seem modern, very far from the classical Muslim buildings but the sensations are always linked to the cultural aspect of Islam.

My visit to this mosque was a bit difficult, as soon as I arrived and after having passed the security checks, both my wife and I were a bit lost, there were no signs in English, nothing to show us where go, we also asked the information center but they didn't speak English and so we started to follow people.
Finally we find the entrance but it was divided, on one side men and on one side women, we divide, we remove the shoes and we enter.

I was able to turn in the first floor, an enormous space where there were 5 faithful who prayed, my head was always turned upwards to admire the splendid chandelier and the inlays on the walls and columns, balconies that embraced the whole room and a light coming from an opening in the ceiling that made everything fairy-tale.
An ingenious set of perspectives called my attention to every detail.
From the balconies it was all the more fascinating, I managed to take some pictures asking for permission, or rather, I tried to make myself understood and it went well.
