Where the fuck is Živogošće?! Who has ever heard of such a place?! What is there?!

One street musician, my colleague & a friend Ivan, the didgeridoo player, who I’ve mentioned already in my travels, proposed me to stop here & visit a bar called “Masline” (Olive Garden) whose owners I met on a concert in Žrnovnica approx. 10 days ago. No! It was exactly 8 days ago, on the 5th of August.

I haven’t been writing now for so long – actually this is the longest period of me not writing during this voyage. A lot was happening to me every day! When you are travelling like this many thing happen on the way… I was even thinking to stop writing in English so that I can express myself on my mother tongue, which is Croatian & to try to make the non-Croatians to learn Croatian… Not because it’s something that will make their existence better but knowing one more language will make you a greater person! Croatia is a touristic & a transit country. Every year we host thousands & thousands of foreigners & we know how to speak English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian… This knowledge of multi-languages makes my insignificant nation really a great one! But on the other hand, sometimes I feel like we just live to serve others for money & I also sense that we had enough of that feeling & that there is no satisfaction in this kind of life anymore. This serving has become mechanical all the way to the point of rudeness & careless behavior like: “I don’t give a shit about you, just give me your money!” It has become an emotionless industry where non of the sides cannot be really happy! Maybe we are trying to gain respect through knowing all these languages while the foreigner took the advantage to consider Croatian language as the not important one but still returning to Croatia to get more of whatever they want or need. Anyway, Croatia gave birth to many scientist & inventors who made the life better universally speaking – for all the people world-wide & still does! Many Croats are bosses on legal & illegal high positions worldwide, so it’s not me for whom you should learn Croatian, it is for yourself, to make yourself a greater person! & it’s not only Croatian you should learn! As more languages you know, as greater person you are!

Ad-on from the 13th of December 2018:

I remember that I spent the longest period of the voyage in Split cause I felt so good there, so comfortable with great company, with beautiful women around me, making good money in the evening, being hosted few times by some of the dearest people, eating & drinking quite well… But I did go 2-3 times to Trogir during this period. It was so difficult to leave all that joy & happiness, that easy-going city, where it seems like that no one has any problems. Yes, the summer in Croatia can be really healthy for you body, mind & the soul. You can be hedonistically relaxing every & all day long!

I remember that in Žrnovnica I was invited to play on a private concert with the few local musicians & Ivan who invited me. I remember the high level of hosting me there. We had a professional music equipment & we made such a nice music for all the guests for free but in return we had been offered with food & drinks as much as we wanted. There I met many interesting people from all over Dalmatia but the foreigners too!

I must refer to Split more: During this voyage of few numbers followed me! Number 3 & 9, as I recall. 3 times I witness nevera & for 3 days after the each nevera, bura was blowing strongly from the hills & mountains.

When I was for the first time in my life in Split in 2007, I met this girl, whose name I can’t mention cause of the privacy & intimacy. I also have some incredible photos with this girl but can't publish them to respect her privacy. She hosted me back then on the rooftop of her granny’s house & in the morning her granny prepared us the breakfast & the girl was playing piano for the “good morning”! Then we took her to the island Hvar for few days & I guess she was so attracted by me that she almost forced me to make love to her in the room where we slept together with some other people. It was still a nice but a funny experience too cause I didn’t feel attraction to her at the time & I was just a 21 year old kid who wasn’t skillful in the man-woman relations & not experienced enough but was ready to learn. In 2016, 9 years later on the 3rd day in Split around midnight I head to my car to pick up some things before I go to sleep to Ivana’s place & while crossing the road this gorgeous woman passed next to me on the bicycle & I thought to myself: “Is this she?!” (the one who literally raped me on Hvar 9 years ago). In these short moments, shorter then seconds, million of thoughts was coming to my mind & I decided to shout her name cause I had nothing to loose anyway & to my great surprise, she looked towards me & also couldn’t recognize me at the first sight. 3 days later we spent a night & made love in the pine forest on the property of the ex Tito residence just above the beach where we were bathing, swimming, snorkeling & catching up 2 days before. She was married at the time but not making love with her husband for few years back & sleeping in separated beds & rooms. Crazy!

She made this photos while we were hanging on the Tito's beach:

To bad that I can't be displaying my photos of her! Sorry for that.

One day in Split Richy gave me a card with number 3!

There was another girl in Split, very young, like 18 or something. After dancing & kissing with her in a bar, as she seemed to be at least 25, & hanging out few more times, she invited me to her parents place where on the each wall there were crosses, crucifixes and little wooden & metal Jesus sculptors hanging. I felt a bit weird & even afraid but she was so sweet & innocent & also very beautiful & sexy – guess that’s why I was so attracted to her but at some point I realized that she was so young I started to feel guilty about it, along with crosses, crucifixes and little wooden & metal Jesus sculptors. So, I was trying to behave myself as gentlest as possible & not to give her any sign of wanting her, even thou it was maybe too late for that! I slept over & we gave each other a massage. In the morning, I went away. After that night she wasn’t responding to my calls nor messages anymore when I realized that she really wanted me to make love with her & was disappointed with me & even got a bit angry for not fulfilling her expectations & desires. Now I’m like blaming myself for being an innocent fool & not embracing the God-given opportunity for the Divine Joining of the two Holy Spirits in the Supernatural Act of the Divine & Holy Love!

My friend told me once: "It's better that you fuck all those young girls who like you, then some other idiots cause they're gonna be fucking anyway!" Why I don't listen, I wonder?!

There’s more: On the last day of my stay in Split, the 15th day, I decided to sleep outside under the stars & expressed my biggest gratitude to Ivana & her family for hosting me for few nights. I did that to force myself to keep on travelling but I didn't feel very well. I felt physically weak like I'm going to get sick very soon. So, as I finished playing music in Marmontova street, I started heading to my Twingo & planned to drive myself on the Marjan hill to sleep over in the adorable pine forest but as I was weak my mind was thinking: "Oh, how much I would wish for Jenny to appear from somewhere just to say hello & maybe it would be better that I spend this night indoor rather than outdoor on this crazy bura!" (It was the 2nd day of the 2nd summer bura edition & it was cold.) Unbelievably, just few seconds after I thought of this, Jenny indeed appeared behind the corner! I was shocked but also the happiest man in the Universe!

& who is Jenny?! Jenny is a beautiful yoga teacher who I met on the corner of Marmontova street & riva one evening when the local municipal policemen chased away all the street artist cause of some war remembrance procession took place in our dearest art street Marmontova. Richy & I stood there in front of the pizzeria eating pizza & talking nonsense & laughing to the miserable war parade when Jenny started approaching with her dog & we were staring like two idiots at the pretty woman walking down the street straight at us. I think we were keeping her dog for a moment while she went to buy pizza & of course than we continued chatting all together. Few years ago before our meeting there on the corner, she wrote her graduate thesis about the street art & street performers, especially describing those who performed in Split & Richy was one the stars in it, one of the protagonists! Would you call this a coincidence? No way! Everything happens for a reason & everything is connected! Don’t ever doubt! Nevermind, lets get back to the last of my Split moments of the 15th day when I summoned Jenny with my thoughts. So we continued walking towards my car cause her flat was in the same direction… Is this coincidence? No way! Everything is meant to be! I was explaining about my state of not feeling too well & letting her know about my plan to sleep in the forest on Marjan but she, like the Heavenly angel offered: “You can sleep at my place!”, & part of me really wanted her to say that consciously & of course I accepted! We went there, made a small but tasty dinner of hers & mine food mixed together, shared this meal & then she made me a bed with the comment: “OK, I let you come into my flat but it would indeed be too much to let you come into my bed!”, & we both smiled sincerely with the acceptance of each other & very soon fell asleep each in its own, separated beds… Thank you Jenny! I love you!

Between Split & Živogošće I stopped for a night in the real Heaven on Earth which is called Brela & I have some really incredible experiences & memories from there but I'l be writing about it in the next edition - part 6 of this travel stories - & maybe I'll get to recall some more of Split memories... & also I'll be writing some more about Živogošće cause it is also a Heaven on Earth! Till the next time!
