National Park Nerei’s keys

June 2018 · 7 min read · Caraș-Severin

Hello friends, it's weekend, it's hot it's perfect for an adventure in a cool place with fresh air.
So we wake up in the morning and start this trip to the National Park Nerei’s keys in Caraş-Severin county. We have started this trip from Lugoj so I have only 112 km on DN 58A and DN58 until get there.
So let the trip begin:)

image

Nerei-Beusniţa National Park is the place where the lakes have a blue to green color and the rocks are white limestone. This place has been established since 1990 and covers an area of 36,758 hectares with amazing places in Caraş-Severin County.

image

This is where you do not have a signal on the phone and you do not come with cars, and in the wild of these lands in the quiet murmur of the water and the rush of trees, in a fresh mountain air we can take a beautiful walk. This is that place where you can still meet horned viper, dragonflies and fireflies, among many others such as Carpathian lynx or brown bear, but the latter are not on the route followed by tourists, but in the surrounding mountains.

image

Here we meet the beautiful natural treasures of the world, disturbed only by the curious tourists who came to take a beautiful walk through the narrow trails and limestone cliffs to explore the beauties of nature.

image

You will have a real adventure going through impressive caves, admiring lakes of unexplained color of the most crystalline blue, passing through the imposing mountains beside the springs and the streams clear and cold.
image

It is where nature opens like a book in front of us leaving us to look at the pages written by a famous author.
image

After we left the car in a special place next to the fishery, near a camping where several tents were located, we slowly walked on it to explore everything we encountered in our walk by nature.

image

S-o we take our backpacks we went to the road, my boy Oly is very excited about this walk by nature, so he called "the expedition to blue water"
image

The first touristic objective we met in our road it was the Waterfall La Vaioaga, that îs not so good only signaled by this sign.
image

And you must descend about 20 meters to reach the waterfall.
So we start descending:)
image

The road is a little difficult but the view is amazing
image

So we are here, and this is the Văioaga waterfall.
image

La Vaioaga waterfall is formed on calcareous limestone cliffs, and in the area there is very large moisture so if you get on the tree in the picture below, be careful not to slip, and I kept pretty well :)
image

image

image

End now let go for more beautiful places.
The next stop should have been the fortress ,but it was 6 km away in the other direction than the road to Ochiul Beiului and the Bigar Waterfall, so we went to visit it on another occasion.

image

So we continued the established route .Before we arrived at Ochiul Beiului ,we met small waterfalls on the road, which although they were not signaled for my point they looked great. Let's see what pictures we made before we reached the Eye.
image

image

image

image

And finally after an hour and a half through the woods we reached a glade, where the sun reminded us how warm it is today. This is simply called Poiana Beusnita, here we lay the blanket to make a small picnic and ease a little of the weight of the backpack.
image

After a few moments of peace and relaxation, after we ate and excited our forces, we set off on our way.
image

Hera are also many other great places to visit, but to far for my little boy , and we don’t have a tent with us to stay overnight.
image

So let go ahead on the road. We have made many stops, for resting or taking photos, we have met great butterfly’s and beautiful flowers . I have spent really a great time here with my son.
image

image

image

image

image

Finally, we also reached Lake Ochiul Beiului Lake, which is a lake of a subterranean carst spring, the turquoise color and a clear water are close to the story color.
image

image

image

The interesting part of this lake is that it never freezes keeping its temperature constantly. This lake is a monument of nature, it is protected and the access of tourists is quite easy next to other objectives on this route.
image

image

image

image

It is a fairy tale lake, where the surrounding woods and the sky are mirrored in its crystalline waters and the legends of this lake make you listen to the story, told by every passerby in another way. After a few quiet moments around it, it slowly disappears all the agitation gathered.
image

image

image

image

image

We loaded our batteries, made some wonderful pictures and listened to a lot of stories about this place,so we can go further to the waterfall.
image

image

On the way to the Beusnita waterfall, we met beautiful places, tree logs that allowed you to cross the other shore, small blue water eyes or simply the beauty of the water flowing through the limestone rocks covered with fluffy and green moss.
image

image

image

image

image

We only have 30 minutes to the waterfall, here's a small hike where the tourists hung the hammocks between the trees or laid a blanket for a picnic in the woods. But we will continue to the waterfall, where we will stop by to rest and admire the Beusnita Waterfall and the last place on our list.
image

image

This waterfall is more spectacular in the autumn and spring due to the water flow, which is much lower in the summer, but it still offers a spectacular view and thanks to its height of 30 meters,it offer us a great view,it is say a waterfall the higher it is more spectacular, and is right. And at this time, during the summer you can escalate more easily the waterfall, of course having a little care not to slip. And we preferred to see the waterfall both low and high.
image

image

image

I even found a cave where, of course being extremely curious we have entered as much as possible, that is, about 2 meters :) there you felt like under the shower, just the water was very cold.
image

image

image

image

image

Here we rest a little, we talked a few pictures more, and after that we started claiming on the top of this waterfall.
image

image

image

image

image

So we started climbing to the top of the waterfall, the top view was as beautiful as I have imagined and also the small water that followed up, we went a little while we stopped and we decided that it's time to go back.
image

image

image

image

image

image

image

This is where our trip ends, although we have a long way to go to the car, we are extremely pleased. The view offered in these places is something amazing and as if detached from a dream. We're hoping you'd like our visit here.
