Hello dear Steemians,

Today I would like to share with you all about celebration on Lunar New Year’s Eve at Fo Guang Shan, Hsingmasi in Johor Bahru. There are many lighting decoration, and lantern display. After we finished reunion dinner, we went there to join the activities.

At the entrance of Fo Guang Shan, there are many lovely lights decoration which’s added New Year’s atmosphere.

After the main entrance, it is a large and wide courtyard garden with Chinese style landscape design. The 1st storey after the staircases is majestic Daxiong Prayer Hall. The sense of place is peace and tranquillity, which’s different with other places.

Year of pig, the piggy lights are everywhere, and it is no exception next to I LOVE FGS.

Above piggy lights are located at large courtyard. This year greeting; all things auspicious.

There are also many beautiful lighting decoration in the park next to the Fo Guang Shan for visitors to take photos.

Chinese believe apple represents peaceful, and orange represent meaning of auspicious. The peaceful lights are consisted by apple and orange candles lights, priced by different sizes. So creative!

Before 12am, the public were led by the mages and volunteers, and they lined up in order to offer the New Year 1st incense stick to Buddha and knocked the big bell to pray for good luck.
