Hello Steemians,
I hope you guys are doing great and enjoying your Saturday.

While exploring the hard drive of my laptop today, I found some of these amazing photographs of one of my trip to Chitkul - The Last Indian Village before China.

Chitkul or Chittkul is a small village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, India, located on the banks of Baspa River, this is the last village in India that one can travel without a permit near Indo-China border. The Indian roads ends here in this village. Situated at an altitude of 3,450 meters above sea level and around 600 Kilometers away from the capital of India, New Delhi, this village remains covered with snow during winter months and the locals move down to lower regions in Himachal Pradesh during winters.

The area is under the control of Indian Paramilitary force that is ITBP (Indo Tibetian Border Police Force) and the border is actually 90 Kilometers away from this village. There are wooden houses in this village and a zostel where one can halt for night but tourists mostly prefer to stay at Sangla which is around 25 Kilometers away from Chitkul.

When you are travelling towards Chitkul just make sure to carry enough cash and fuel for your cars as there is no ATM facility and Fuel station in this area. Moreover there is no hospital or clinic available here and in case of any emergency one has to rush to Sangla.
Even the weather of this hilly area is so uneven that it changes suddenly even in summers and it can act like winter conditions. This place is so cold and windy that locals leave this place in the month of November after first Snowfall.
