The Bianca Resort and Spa is located at Mirka Vešovića, Kolašin, Montenegro. Kolasin is a quiet town in the heart of Montenegro. The hotel was home base for my wife and I while we toured the Montenegro mountains. The hotel is located just beyond the main square in Kolasin, tucked away among the pines. The heavy smell of burning wood gave our stay a definitive "ski lodge" feel. The effect was mirrored in the heavy wood accents inside the hotel.
The room, like our hotel in Tirana, Albania, was a bit on the small side. Our diamond-shaped window looked out over the front parking lot, accented by the towering pines. The bed was comfortable. Once again, we found limited outlets for charging our electronics. Traveling with adapters that allow multiple devices to charge from a single international adapter came in handy. The hotel was clean and well maintained and had a very cozy feel. The bathroom also featured heavy wood accents with a distinctly European feel. The hotel felt modern, even though a bit cramped. The shower, like many in Europe, also managed to leak a great deal. Finding the exact angle for the shower head proved a challenge that was continually unable to master.
The hotel is conveniently located off the main square, with shops and groceries located within walking distance. Kolasin is a small town, so there is not a great deal of "night life." However, there were several restaurants, a couple of bars and a couple of grocery stores within walking distance. There was also a small pedestrian district located on the opposite side of the main square. We were able to find a few tourist items as well as some local wine that was incredibly inexpensive. We picked up a couple of bottles of the wine, which was delicious and cheap. For three dollars per bottle, the wine is a steal.

We took our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant offered a nice selection for both meals, all served buffet style. Breakfast included breads, fruits, meats (to include ham-like bacon), eggs, cereal, juice, coffee, yogurt, sliced cheeses and meats and chocolate croissants. The food was fresh and tasty. Dinner included options like the traditional sausage called Cevape, chicken cutlets, pork, beef, fish, salad, fruit, bread, and desserts. The selection was wide enough for just about any palate. The quality of the food was good.
We enjoyed our visit to Bianca Resort and Spa. The location was great for our day trip into the mountains of Montenegro. The hotel was comfortable, the staff was friendly, the internet service was adequate, the hotel was clean and the service was excellent. The food was good as well. It was a nice stop over on our journey north through the region. I would definitely recommend this hotel as an excellent home base for excursions into the nearby mountains.
