Enjoy Hamburg at night time

Enjoy Hamburg at night time

December 2019 · 3 min read · Hamburg

An evening walk at the water

While traveling to another business meeting I had the time to enjoy a little walk during the evening at the Hamburg harbor area.

The light and the darkness in a wonderful mix!

The little waves of the evening

A bit later that evening, the fog arrived and creates a unique atmosphere.

The streets

Before meeting my friends there was some time for a little walk around the well known Hamburg fish market and the wonderful shops and restaurants.

Hafenklang - Listen some music

Saw this great place for some different music and need to picture that gorgeous entrance and the building.

Hafenklang is a great little live music venue/club for underground and punk/electronic

They have a good selection of drinks, but they do take deposits for bottles, which is a bit weird for Hamburg. I guess it keeps the place a bit tidier than otherwise it might be though.

Another slightly strange thing for such a dirty-punky-divey venue is that the toilets are incredibly decent. One downside is that it is very much off the beaten track, but the taxis know what's going on and will line up outside at the end of concerts which can be quite handy if you don't have a bike. I've never failed to have a good time at Hafenklang, so if they have a show that even vaguely interests you, I can recommend that you should get down here and check it out.

Fish market hall

Sadly it was already closed but walking around that place was interesting enough and shows that there are plenty restaurants for - guess what - **fish**

We decided to have some fish

There is a nice restaurant named "Henssler & Henssler" and we got a table for our group. See the Restaurants Website

At Henssler & Henssler, father and son duo Werner and Steffen Henssler craft California and Japanese fusion fare in their bright and welcoming eatery. Fresh and tantalizing starter options include the miso soup with soft tofu and the tangy oyster shooter.

Henssler & Hennsler's commitment to fresh produce is highlighted in its entrée course, where items such as the blackened tuna steak, the baked sashimi with jalapeno and artichoke salad, and the vast selection of gourmet sushi rolls are true delights.

Finish your meal with one of Henssler & Henssler's hand-crafted desserts, like the luscious coconut parfait.

A plate for the whole group with such a nice fresh taste. Warm and cold sushi and some sashimi.
