Sailing on a sailboat along the coast of Alicante, Spain 🇪🇦 ⛵️

November 2022 · 2 min read · Alicante

A year ago I decided to obtain the Recreational Boat Skipper title (PER in Spain), which allows you to navigate 12 miles from the coast and with boats up to 15 meters in length.

Apart from doing quite a few hours of theory for a couple of months and learning to draw routes on nautical charts to be eligible to pass the exam, you also had to navigate a minimum of 16 hours.

Here some Youtube shorts, first onboarding the boat and second sailing with a downwind and full sail:

But how could it be otherwise, not everything was going to be sailing: you also had to leave time to share a good paella among the ship's crew and take a refreshing dip in the sea.
