Are the horses strong enough? Pantanal Brazil

All you need for a Pantanal wetlands adventure! Sunglasses, a hat and your camera!

A Ride through the marsh, mud and the forest. Hunted by mosquitoes and bats. What an experience!

It was not my first time on a horse but it sure felt like it. In the brooding sun we rode for several hours. On the way we circled past many animals looking for shelter in the bushes. The horses have an unbelievable energy to keep up the pace despite muddy soil.

After 1 hour my butt hurt already, but we still had a big route in front of us.

The horses were a bit moody, which was not always so easy for less experienced riders like us. They have their own head and show it to you any time possible. In the end we had a lot of fun and it was well worth the effort.

Where to find the tours!

Pantanal offers a wide variety of routes and programs. From waterfalls, high plateau sunrises to boat tours, anything is possible. Here is a link to a possible booking page.

The Pantanal is known for its many cases of birds which always accompany you on your tours.

I would recommend anyone to come out of his comfort zone and book a tour in the wetlands.

The Pantanal is reachable from Cuiaba, which is the capital of Mato Grosso.

At what time of the year should I go?

But pay attention to the years. In the rainy season everything is much greener but the animals have room to hide. In the dry season everything is dried out, but you can see more animals, as they find no real shelter.
