When God Decides to Show Off | Panoramic Views of "San Juan Reservoir/Lake.. Madrid,Spain.

June 2020 · 3 min read · Madrid

It's almost Weekend and I ma going through content from my camping trip from last weekend and I just realized I have so much photography content that I don't know where to start. So I thought, why not start by sharing this panoramic views of Lake San Juan?

I'll kid you not, at first glance, the views take your breath away. Maybe it's because we've been in lock-down so long that after given this opportunity to travel around the city, we now see things differently and appreciate freedom of movement more. Whatever the case, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend for anyone within Madrid looking to be in nature or sit by a beach.

If you decide to go, remember to bring -Sunscreen, Hat, Lunch(if you prefer to eat by the beach, I think you can also get take aways from the restaurants, but just in case you prefer home-made food)..
-Water (bring a big bottle and bring it frozen, it's hot)
- Money in CASH

While here, the police dropped by a couple of times to ensure everyone was being safe by social distancing, which is really great because we have had the toughest of hits here in Spain.

The great thing also about this space is, there's plenty of things one can possibly do. Swimming, Canoeing, Water Sports, hiking in the mountains on the background, picnic, camp etc I even spotted a couple of people doing some sort of photo-shoot. It was amazing.

There are also restaurants just above the rocks that give you the full view of the lake and the docks. If you're looking to just enjoy the views over dinner or a drink, that would be perfect for you. There are also Airbnb's available for rent near the lake for those that prefer not to camp.

The San Juan reservoir is located along the Alberche river between the municipalities of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, El Tiemblo, Cebreros and Pelayos de la Presa, at the south-eastern end of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, bordering on the province of Ávila

You ever look at nature and realize how God is amazing? This place, makes me think of how great and magnificent everything in life is, or how everything came to be. Nature can be such a show off sometimes, I love it!

Hope you guys enjoyed this panoramic views. If you did, do leave me a comment down below. More views of this beautiful place coming up over the course of the week.
