Three Travel Places nearby me

Bangladesh is an excellent place to travel. Bangladesh has many beautiful natural places of interest. The mountain and sea of it attracts everyone very much. The area I live in is a port city, which is one of the places of interest for the travelers in Bangladesh. So today I will describe three tourist places in my vicinity where you can visit very easily. All the places I am going to describe are within 15 to 20 kilometers of my home and workplace. So, I know a lot about these places and I will try to tell in detail about the fun and sights of traveling to places. Let's get started.

First one is “Mahamaya Lake"

One of the natural favorite places of the tourists of Bangladesh is Mahamaya Lake. My home that is Zorarganj, Mirsarai is located only five kilometers away from this tourist spot. This lake has been used by the Bangladesh Water Development Board for the prevention of hilly areas. Large areas in the vicinity have been suitable for cultivation after Dam formation. Thus, keeping in mind the beauty of this place, the Ministry of Tourism of Bangladesh developed it as a tourist center. At present, thousands of tourists from all over the country visit this place every day, especially on Fridays as Friday is weekend here. One of the main reasons of attraction there is a place where people can travel by boat to the fountain. There are several fountains about 4 km away from the land where the boat will need to reach. It is very attractive to the tourists to take a boat trip and to see the amazing beauty on the slope of the hill at the same time. Moreover, the place has hills and trees. All this combined to make the place fascinating. Since some activities have been conducted by the Ministry of Tourism here, the beauty of the place has been further enhanced. One of the rubber dams in Bangladesh is located beside the lake which in another tourist attractions. This magnificent lake has been created in the middle of the hill. On the other side there is a railway line. Resulting the whole area Not only fascinating but also natural greenery.

I have been fascinated every time I have been there. I have visited this place at least ten times. This place is being close to my house, I used to visit there with different friends and relatives coming to my home. I actually move there with them. Those who go here enjoy it very much because many people like to see the mountains because there are not many mountains in Bangladesh. Only in the Chittagong (current name is Chattogram) region anyone can enjoy the beauty of the hills and there is some in Sylhet. Those who love to see and travel by boat can easily visit this place.

You can easily find a detailed description of the place by searching in internet, but I will give a brief description of how to come. This place of interest is in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong district. So, anyone has to come to Chittagong first or can come directly from Dhaka. In this case there are available transport service or you can go by bus. The lake is located at Thakurdighi in Mirsarai. So only 2 km road can be reached by autorickshaw or on foot. And the entrance fee here is only around 30 cents. Boating can cost from 10 to 30 USD. It depends on the shape of the boat, timing and travel distance. You can easily rent any boat from here at your convenience. There is no good hotel here; So, you have to come from Chittagong city or Dhaka city. There are no arrangements and no good restaurants. Those who travel here usually get up at the hotel in Chittagong or Dhaka City and from there come back for a day and then go back again after visiting the tourist spot. But why are you late?

2. Vijay Singh Dighi

Bangladesh has been ruled by several kings in ancient times. The structures built by these kings are still scattered in different parts of Bangladesh. One of them are Mughal, Sen, Pal or other kings. Some or other archeological specimens are found in almost all the regions. Chittagong is one of the archeological monuments to visit Bangladesh. As there were several kings in Chittagong district earlier, this district has some traditions in terms of archeological monuments or ancient times. The second place I want to mention today is like a natural archeological site. It’s the Bijoy Singh Dighi. Although it is a natural one, it was made during the reign of one of those kings at that time.

I have visited this place which is about 15 kilometers away from me more than twice. It is very difficult to find anywhere else in Bangladesh as much as Big dighi (Large Pond). This lake is so big that it takes ten minutes to get around. So, people can easily move to this lake for walking in the natural beautiful environment. I go around my house to travel. It is especially fascinating to take an afternoon walk on the shores of this lake and enjoy the pleasant breeze. If you want to come here, you have to come from Feni city. Feni is another district of Bangladesh adjacent to Chittagong. This place is located just one kilometer away from Feni district. You can easily reach from Feni District to this spot by autorickshaw. Next to it are circuit houses and other hotels. Restaurant facilities are also available here. That's why this will be a convenient travel for you.

3. Khayachara fountain

Wherever there are mountains there are fountains. The origin of the waterfall is because there are mountains. Since Chittagong is a hilly district, there are numerous waterfalls in the vicinity of this district. But the most interesting and the shower is located next to my house. Its name is Khayachara Jharna. Jharna means Waterfall, Fountain or spring. Its Located in a place called Bariadhala, this spring is so wide that no other spring in the country is so wide. There are more than 16 fountains one after another here. It is not possible to travel to all the fountains. There is no substitute for this place if you want to enjoy 16 fountains one after the other in this way. Only those who have enough time on their hands and have enough stamina can see the shower together. Usually this means that the first waterfall is exhausted from the first about two kilometers from the road. Most of the tourists go up to the fourth fountain i.e. a fountain and come back again. The youngsters return after finishing all the fountain trips. One of the main attractions is walking to the fountain with great difficulty and then taking a bath in the cold water of the fountain.

At first no one could invent such a thing. For the last 4/5 years, people, i.e. tourists, have been flocking there. Tourists come from different parts of the country on Friday-Saturday. Come back in the morning and enjoy the breathtaking view of all the fountains before returning to its previous position. The further you go the more you will see the beautiful fountain and it will fascinate you. It is better not to come here as it is dangerous for people with weak heart. One of the main reasons is that you have to go through slippery roads to get to these fountains. I saw a lot of tourists come here and get stuck at the fountain first then couldn’t go. So for those who like adventure and travel, it can be a very popular tourist destination. As I said before, this place is very dangerous and slippery so it is not easy to see the waterfalls here. If you want to enjoy the breathtaking view of the fountain and visit all the fountains you have to go very carefully and with time.

It is located in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong district. So the distance between these three places I am talking about is not more than 10 kilometers. So one can travel to three places on the same day if one wants. Since all these places are in the vicinity of my house, I often visit these places.

That’s why, today I have come to share these three sights with everyone. I hope you will enjoy this places. Due to the low resolution of my smartphone camera, the photography may be not upto the mark. But the places are really attractive and beautiful. Obviously the good choice for enormous visitors.
