Boat rides along mountain slopes

Boat rides along mountain slopes

August 2020 · 4 min read · Chattogram Division

Travel is closed in Corona Virus situation. Yet the mind seems to
want to go back to nature again and again. Today I am sharing a travel
experience from 8/9 months back.

One of the sights or attractions of the hilly region is the
water fountain or lake formed at the foot of the hill. This is not normal.
However, if there is a need to build a dam, then water accumulates there and this part turns into a beautiful lake.

Chittagong district is one of the hilly districts of Bangladesh. There are vast hills across this district. Rainfall is usually heavy in hilly areas. And as a result of this rain, water flows create springs in many places. That is why we see many fountains in Chittagong region which is really very captivating. Many tourists from home and abroad come to see the fountain of nature.

I am not a tribal resident of Chittagong district but I have to live in this place for job. So, I never miss the opportunity to see the natural beauty here. Today I am going to show the fountain of Mirsarai, one of the most beautiful natural monuments of Chittagong in this travel related blog.

As I have said before, the water on the slopes of the hills
does not usually accumulate, but only if a dam is built. This trapped water or lake becomes a tourist attraction. People enjoy boating on the winding paths drawn through the slopes of these mountains. To protect the adjacent agricultural lands from the flow of water, this dam has been officially
constructed in Mirsarai Upazila (Sub district) so that the agricultural lands
can get adequate water as per the time and facilities. For this reason, the
other part has become one of the most attractive aesthetic tourist centers. Who
doesn't want to enjoy a boat ride along the winding roads of the mountains and
reach the fountain by boat and take a bath in the spring water?

When guests come to my house, I actually
take them to see this tourist spot because it is very close to my house. Its located
just 5 km away from my official home, this is a beautiful tourist destination.
If you want to go here, you can go by autorickshaw from my house (Zorargonj).
The travel experience I am describing today is about taking two guests coming
to my house to the tourist spot. Tourists usually first enjoy the aesthetic
beauty of the upper part that is above the hill. Later they went down and rented
a boat to take a detour to the waterfall which is about 8 km away.

We also enjoyed the top of the hill first then start traveling by boat. Since this place has been developed as a tourist center, it has been planted with some natural plants which are very beautiful and attractive to look at. Besides, the memory and fun of walking some distance is really very pleasant for any travel-loving person. Everything is in order here and the boat rental is fixed. You only have to pay 10 to 15 dollars for one to two hour boat trip. In between you can see and enjoy several waterfalls then come back to this boat again. We also took the boat to the fountain and as soon as we saw the water of the fountain, we came back early as we had less time at our hands. It was an afternoon trip. So in a very short time we traveled around the entire tourist spot very quickly and continued to enjoy. It did not take many pictures or interesting pictures. Yet I am sharing what I have here. Hope you like it.

If one wants to visit this tourist spot of Mirsarai, one can come directly to Mirsarai Upazila from Chittagong city or Dhaka city of Bangladesh. You can visit this beautiful tourist destination with the help of any person who comes here. Since there are no good restaurants or hotels nearby, you have to order food in advance or bring it with you from the city. And since there is no hotel system, you have to stay in Chittagong city or Dhaka city hotels and go back in the same day.

So far today. I am saying goodbye here like today with the
wish that everyone will be interested in traveling again in the future after the
Corona & COVID 19 situation
. Many thanks to everyone.
