Horse Riding At Dracula Daneș Domain

Horse Riding At Dracula Daneș Domain

June 2020 · 4 min read · Mureș

On Saturday I finally had the chance to take a trip. It was a real pleasure after a few month of lockdown and restrictions due to covid-19 pandemic. I bet I'm not the only one who miss traveling so much. If you've missed my previous posts, please scroll down to the bottom of the post to find the links to my previous two posts.

One of the attraction theDracula Daneș Domain has to offer is equitation. They have 1000 m2 riding space and riding courses and trips for all levels. There's also a covered circular manege and also three paddocks for training outside.

The alley you see on the photo is the way to the circular manege and the wonderful riding arena.

At the entrance of the circular manege, there was a guy with a cowboy hat waiting for you. He was most likely the one who's helping you ride the horses.

These two beauties were waiting patiently for visitors but unfortunately these are not times people go riding yet.

Travel restrictions were lifted not long ago and the pandemic is still real, so it's going to take time for tourism to be back to normal.

It's a beautiful and interesting manege, and judging from the setup, people are in good hands and horses are well taken care of.

This is the entrance of the riding arena. I've never been in a riding arena before, don't even know if this is the right definition of it.

This one is not so big, not big enough to host equitation events but enough for some good shows.

It is made mostly of wood, which is a very good choice in my opinion, it gives you the feeling of going back in time. Actually the whole domain is a trip back in time. They wanted to keep people close to nature and did a great job with it.

A wooden sculpture in the hall, featuring a horse, obviously. There were some photos on the wall of the hall, meant to be funny but those were rather kitschy, ruined the aspect of the place and left me disappointed. God thing that apart from these photos, only the unicorn porcelain statues in the bathroom were ugly.

These swing doors are not common here, reminded me of the American western movies but actually match the stile.

The building is made of wood and in front of the entrance there was this gorgeous stylish bench with a table, on both sides.

After visiting the domain it was clear that these people care about quality and are not doing things only for a profit. They made sure to offer people a lot for their money. I'm sure whoever is staying there for a day or two leaves satisfied. This is the only way or doing business in this industry.

Unfortunately in my country not everyone thinks like that. There are plenty who are scamming customers even though they know those will never come back. Who can blame them? Once you were treated poorly, overcharged and served poor quality of food you must be a fool to go back to that place. There's a long way to the new normality where those part of the tourism industry learn how to treat tourists/customers.

I'm doing travel posts for some time now to spread the word, let people know where to go and what to chose. Hive is a wonderful place, travelfeed.io is a great app and @pinmapple is another tool you can use to learn about people's experience worldwide.

This is it for today, tomorrow hopefully I'll have the necessary time to do a post about the beautiful horses and the blacksmith workshop.
