Street life in Limenda

August 2019 · 3 min read

Street life in Limenda is no different from other neighborhoods in provincial cities. Children play hide and seek, crawl on the roofs of sheds, ride through puddles on bicycles. Everything is exactly the same as in my childhood, nothing really changed. This makes me happy. People say that young people have deteriorated, everyone is sitting at home at computers and smartphones. Nothing like this!

Now you will see for yourself!

If in the courtyard there is at least some structure similar to a barn or garages, then you can often see children on it. This is the best place to play.

Are their parents so poor that they could not buy them a smartphone or computer? Of course not! They all go to school and they have everything, it's just a lot more fun to play outside than to sit at home.

The number of children playing on the street does not depend on the size of the city.

I also walked twenty years ago! Nothing has changed.

But cycling in the puddles was the most favorite pastime in my childhood.

The guys and I specifically waited for the end of the long rain and rode bicycles to a special place where the clay is more slippery and there is more dirt. Not a single pokatushka could do without falls.

And this is a sincere pleasure!

If the puddle is deeper is the better.

And now it's the other way around. As with the process of growing up, everything changes dramatically. Now the smaller the puddle, the better. And even better is their complete absence.

My son is growing up and I will do everything so that he has a fun and eventful childhood. He learned to walk confidently not so long ago, and I already allowed him to run through the puddles in boots. He was just happy!

The main thing is not to get stuck at this time. But adulthood is also not an indicator of something higher, you need to grow up your brain, but stay in the soul as a child. Oh, how complicated it is in adulthood.

You need to grow up so that at one fine moment, by the will of a good mood, take and repeat what the guys are doing in the photo. Who can do it?

I know why few can do this. Everyone is afraid of public opinion what people think.

You can come to an unfamiliar city and have fun...in moderation.

Adult guys also ride bicycles, and even through puddles, but already on specially designated tracks.

But to just around the city and through the puddles nobody...

Childhood forgives everything and allows you to do everything. Children need to appreciate this time.

And adults forgive the mistakes of children and their prank.

This concludes reportage about Limenda. Honestly, I want to go there again. This is not a very attractive microdistrict in appearance, but in it life is real.
