The Myakalsky bush. Zaruchevye

October 2019 · 2 min read

Zaruchevye is a village in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region. Geographically refers to the Mardengsky rural settlement. The distance to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug by road is 36 km, to the center of the municipality of Lodeika in a straight line - 8 km. This is the next village of Myakalsky bush.

From Pupyshevo through the field is a dirt road.

But you yourself understand what a kind of road can be in a field after autumn rains...

Before reaching the village, bright roofs are visible.

I get to the first house - the alarm immediately went off: the geese shouted.

But I didn't met people here...

There are fewer houses here, the street is wider, there is a five-wall house with a balcony - you can feel the spirit of antiquity.

The area around the houses is well-groomed.

At the end of the street is an abandoned house with a bathhouse opposite.

A sad look. It is good that this house is far from residential and does not spoil the big picture.

Zaruchevye is also located on a high hill from which you can admire the vastness. While I was photographing the autumn distances, I heard some noise.

At first glance, it was like the sound of a waterfall. Myakolitsa flows below, probably there is some kind of threshold. It is imperative to go there and find the source of noise!

The road that led me straight to the river leads right down. But there is no waterfall here, and the noise disappeared.

Only water murmurs slightly, and the stream enters the turn, flowing around small stones.

Stopping occasionally, catching my breath and listening again to the noise, slightly upset, I go upstairs to the village.

It turns out that it is so quiet here that you can hear for many hundreds of meters how a small stream of water rustles. Perhaps, somewhere there is a stronger threshold on the river, but the noise is definitely not from the waterfall.

To be continued...
