Ustye-Povalikhino. The right shore

July 2019 · 3 min read

On the right bank of the Shardenga River there is also the village of Ustye-Povalikhino, but there are much fewer houses there. Among them there are beautiful houses with a mezzanine and balconies.

Feels and appearance of the houses, this part of the village seems more ancient.

The road here is much better quality. Officially, judging by the road sign on the asphalt road, the lapel on Ustye-Povalikhino is located in another place, where the road will lead to the previous part of the village.

In this part of the village are also country houses. Nobody lives here all the year round.

Here it is, the first part of the village Ustye-Povalikhino, to which is at hand. But the barrier will be a small river, which you can only force.

By the way, the river Shardenga used to flow into the river Yug under the village of Morozovitsa. It traveled a distance of plus 15 kilometers. A few years ago, Shardenga wanted to quickly merge with the Yug, and it changed the course. Now the Shardenga River flows into the Yug just beyond the village of Ustye-Povalikhino.

The old channel is shallow. Now only a small stream flows here.

The river Yug is only a hundred meters.

Here the Shardenga River sharply turns in the other direction and then merges with the Yug River.

The old channel in the spring is still filled with water, but it will soon dry out completely. Before my eyes, there is a change in the landscape of this region.

Here it is the confluence of two rivers! You can see how the land washes away with water.

It turns out that the Red Island will soon lose its status as an island. After all, it was washed by the rivers Yug and Shardenga...the second will dry soon.

Nearby, I discovered a moat, looking like a very ancient riverbed. Judging by the width of the channel part, it was all the same Shardenga. Looks like it often plays pranks.

The Bay of Lamanikha is much fuller than the past. We must often go and see these places, as here and now there are major changes in the landscape!

I summarize: Ustye-Povalikhino is another amazing village in a picturesque place. I hope the life in this place will last as long as possible with atmosphere, which I was pleasantly impressed with. I fell in love with this place!
And I will look after Shardenga: something interesting is happening here for me.
