Cocoa Beach Florida - Lockdown over - Beach Visit

May 2020 · 2 min read · Florida

It feels like infinity when you are locked up inside and only go for small walks and to the grocery stores. It’s like that movie “Ground Hog Day” with Bill Murray.

Well the Florida Governor lifted the restrictions on business and beach openings and our Monday felt like a weekend with everyone going to the beaches.

You could see a number of cruise ships just sitting in the water not being used. The cruise business may have a few tough years ahead for them as people are a little shy about being around people on a boat. The port business and hotels will all be affected for some time.

People, pets, and boaters were anxious to hit the beaches. Not a cloud in the sky and plenty of space for people to relax with no concerns. The surfers were probably a little rusty with thier skills it has been so long since catching a wave.

1st Ocen view after parking and seeing the water again...a sight for sore eyes.

Plenty of space to walk with no concern about being close to another.

The open walk on the beach took the place of the neighborhood walks. The sun was warm on the skin but the temperature in the low 80’s was perfect.

The cruise ships anchored in the ocean made think will the economy ever be the same? WIll planes be crowded? Will they require vaccinations to board a plan for travel?

Today was not that day for answers. It was a day for young and old to break out the beach bikes and get some sun. They say that Vitamin D (from the sun) can really help a person fight the virus. Well...there were a lot of people “getting healthy” today.

Hopefully, this is just the beginning of the summer outdoors. Just think...tomorrow might be a good day for a beach sunrise photography session. I can hardly wait.

Thanks for reading....over and out from Florida USA.
