After the hard lockdown in Valencia, Spain in 2020 we were ready to leave the city and get into the nature. But first we spent one week in Altea by the Mediterranean Sea. We had a great time but it was still not time to head back home.
We planned a 2 night stay in a vacation rental in Benimantell, up in the mountains of the Alicante province. We instantly noticed the change of temperature. It was a bit cloudy when we arrived but luckily the clouds vanished pretty quickly.
We went on several hikes and off course we had to visit the nearby Guadalest Castle which could be straight from a fairytale.
