We absolutely loved this hike, since you can set out out straight from Stavros (our home base for the duration of our stay, which was actually in 2018). It's not too demanding and it leads you by the beautiful Gouverneto Monastery with it's impressive stone bridge before reaching the Katholiko Beach.
Take a break, take a rest and take in the beautiful landscape of this Crete coastline before you head back to Stavros. You even have the choice to walk back a different hiking path, making this a perfect loop hike.
