The Wilds Conservation Preserve in Ohio - A Midwest Safari

November 2022 · 1 min read · Ohio

I have been to Ohio plenty of times but I would have never ever guessed that I would be going on a Safari in this midwest state. Even less though encountering rhinos, giraffes and ostriches.

We came from Columbus, past Zanesville we soon arrived at The Wilds - a Branch of the Columbus Zoo. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect and even less though throughout the first 15 minutes of the safari, we got to see some budgies, fed some fish and spotted some deer in the underwood.

But the tour got better the longer it went on. Loved seeing the African Painted Dogs, the Rhinos and the Giraffes and of course the Sichuan Takin, I have to admit, is a special furry fellow.
