Pattaya City เมืองพัทยา Thailand

In 2016, I first conquered Pattaya and wrote:

My father told me, "there's nothing to see in Pattaya, so scratch it off your list". Well, he was wrong, there are a lot of things to see in the colourful city of Pattaya. In the 1960's, this used to be a quiet fishing village, however now it's lined with world-class hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. Also, the area boasts of several designer golf courses, some with awesome views of Pattaya Bay.

Two years later, I have been to the same place not just once but twice. Just like what I wrote way back:

Pattaya (พัทยา) is located on the Eastern Gulf Coast of Thailand and considered a seaside resort. It's approximately 150 km southeast of Bangkok.

Pattaya's nightlife is so vibrant, whenever I think of the movie "From Dusk Till Dawn", I don't know why but this city comes to mind. The South Pattaya Road which serves as the main tourist area both for night gigs and shopping is closed to vehicles. The whole stretch is dubbed as the Walking Street. Local authorities have made great efforts to offer more family-friendly attractions and activities to tourists.

Dear Steemians, I hope the photo's visually entertaining to you all. In closing, I believe a man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.

This is my photo entry for @juliank’s and @photocontests#goldenhourphotography challenge.
