I have mentioned before that I have a summer job as a host for vacation homes here, at the north east part of Crete, in Greece. And usually I am the one to take pictures for the listings. Do not imagine any high-end Real Estate photography like @scottshots but every now and then I come across a house that has something special!
I haven't share any of those shootings so far but this one left me a very strong impression and I would like to show to you what I mean.
For starters it's the amazing view and the even more amazing sunset!
The fact that is stone built and I have a thing about natural building, did helped too!
And the story of this beautiful farmhouse that is perched among olive groves is interesting. It is built on the exact same spot of an older lodging, a "magaze" as we call it here, that served the family during the olive's harvest as temporary shelter. The name of the olive groves around the house is Sotirali and may be a corruption of the Turkish name "Sotir Αli".
Even the decorative details seems to serve perfectly the overall feeling!
And of course this emblematic relaxation spot is part of the equation :)

But most of all, I think that I am so fond of it because it is so close to my off grid paradise that I am fantasizing for the last few years!
Built with natural materials, located away from the village (but not too far), surrounded by farm land and energy autonomous it has many of the characteristics that I value most, plus a breathtaking view!
