Actually I went mushroom picking today, in another part of the mountains, but since I have some problems getting the pictures from the camera to the computer atm, I'll share with you in this #TrailsTuesday (challenge by @extremejogging ), the trail I did last Thursday (hope it's not breaking the rules ! ;D)
This is the hike up to the Refugio Treviso, where Roberto my partner was working this year (he has some pretty amazing workplaces, last year was this one! ).
This one, unlike the Malga Venegiota, is not possible to drive to, since it is located right on the mountainside and is a popular place for climbers to spend the night, to be right on the cliff side by early morning!
The chord on the picture above is how they get stuff up to the Refugium, so they don't have to carry it on the back up the mountain. The place we are going is that white spot at the end of the chord on the photo.
First we went through a low shrubbery forest path, and then reaching the wide river bed. I know Willow looks a bit over dressed for the occasion, but it was the only clean shirt I had left XD - -and no, it was not white anymore after the hike!
Crossing the river..!
Look how the leaves are slowly turning yellow, fall is getting upon us
As always, great views of the mountains too
Love the color of the river!
Then after crossing the river bed, we went into the forest path
Steccherino Bruno or Sarcodon imbricatus - an average edible mushroom
Amanita Muscaria - less edible, but pretty mushroom ;)
Looking up again..!
Starting to go up
And more steep
Until we reached the refugium. This is the view from the place.
Roberto, Willow and Mara - who runs the refugium
This is the only picture i got of the actual house ;D
