See The World #15 - Arc de Triomf, Parc de la Ciutadella (Barcelona Tour)

September 2019 · 2 min read · Barcelona

When people hear something about "Arc de Triomf", the first instinct is to think about the one from Paris, France. But in reality, there are many more all around the world, like the one from Bucharest (Romania), Rome (Italy) or even New York. This kind of arches are usually created as monuments worshipped to the people who died during different wars, but what makes so special the one from Barcelona, is that this one serves as a welcome sign to all the tourists who are coming from different parts of the world and pass under it.

"Parc de la Ciutadella" is more like an oasis of peace which hides lots of interesting touristic attractions but also activities that you can enjoy. For scientists, there are two museums - a zoological one and a geological one, for kids there is a huge statue with a mammoth where children can play or take pictures with it, for nature lovers there is a marvelous lake and fountain where you can rent a boat and enjoy the moment even more, and for those who just want to relax a bit there are numerous spots where they can do a picnic or just lay down on the grass and watch the sky.

These are just a few of the things you can enjoy in the park as there are more things to be discovered, like the Zoo from Barcelona, The Castle of Dragons, The Catalan Parliament, the abandoned building known as L'Hivernacle and so on. Just take your time and enjoy the adventure to the fullest!
