In today's trip we are jumping from the journey we took 2 days ago to a fairy tale place similary with The Grimm Brothers house - to the Zoo Garden from Sibiu, Romania, joining the wildlife. 🗺️

The Zoo from Sibiu it's more likely a big park where you can spend time to relax your mind, exploring the wildlife in the same time. It's a perfect place where you can go on a Sunday walking, spending time in the woods, reading a book, sitting on a bank watching the birds playing on the lake, or even eat something from the local street food, the zoological garden having those kind of little shops from where you can buy a snack. 🥐

What's the story of The Zoo from Sibiu? 🕮

Well, The Zoo from Sibiu it's known as the very first zoological garden from Romania but yet one of the most beautiful and special ones from our country. Why? - because there are a lot of different animals, from bears, wolves, deers, to some exotic kinds like tiger, lion, zebra, camel, cheetah and many more. The spaces allocated to the animals are pretty big, so they have enough space to play, sleep, eat, or just sit on the shadow of a tree. It's important to mention the fact that some of the cages are protected by electrified fence so there won't be any risk for the visitors but also the animals won't suffer being locked on big cages with thick bars and lack of visibility. ⚡

What animals are there? 🦁

There are a little over 200 animals in the zoological garden so it's pretty hard to tell everything you can see but right next to the entrance in the zoo, you will find a map which leads you to different areas, mentioning the animals you will find there. A few examples of the animals you can visit are: turtles, snakes, cheetah, hawks, parrots, lions, tigers, wolves, bears, deer, reindeer, monkeys, lama, foxes, jaguar, marten, baboons, etc. 🐺

I visited this place in a hot day of summer when there where about 40 degrees outside so the animals were hiding by the sun, not really being in the mood to smile to the camera or meet the visitors. I also have to say that I'm rarely visiting a Zoological Garden as I really feel sorry for the animals that are caught in such places just for the sake of visitors so I'm always making sure I go check a zoo which has good conditions for the animals so I won't see them in pain, even though I know they can't really be happy in such places. 😢

As always, thanks for reading my blog and I hope you enjoyed discovering the wildlife of some animals through the pictures and reading the article.
Have a lazy Saturday! 😌
