Dear Steemians

I like to be a tourist in my own country.
In the Bernese Oberland, near Kandersteg, there is a great lake, the Blausee (Blue lake).
I was there only once, even though it's not so far away from my home. However, it is a very tourist place and it always has a lot of people. Of course you also pay entery.

The lake is, as the name implies, extremely blue, but this also depense on the light.

Surrounded by the lake is forest and mountains. There is a great restaurant where you can also get brunch (something between breaktast and lunch).
There are also barbecue areas, so you can also grill your own Cervelat.
Next to the restaurant, there is a separate organic trout farm, so you can eat or buy fresh and delicious fish there.

Not only in summer is the Blausee a destination, but even in winter this lake must be a wonderland. Surrounded by white snow-coveredtrees and mountains. Unfortunately, I have never been able to see this with my own eyes and so I have no photos.

But why is the lake so blue? There is a legend that says that the eyes of a girl in the lake, who went out of mourning for her lover in the lake.

But the thing is that the water comes from different underground sources. That's why the lake seems so clear and blue.

Anyone who is somewhere in the Bernese Oberland next time and has never been to Blausee before should definitely make up for it. Best during the week, it's less crowded than at the weekend.

Greetings from Bern
